Preservation Problem

Hey guys. I was preserving some cubies in my dessicant chamber and the dessicant was just about fully saturated. The cubies are drying very slow and they turned blue, I think this was due to slow oxidation. Any suggestions on the safety of eating these cubies. I'm pretty sure the blue coloring is not rot but want to be sure. The last thing I need is to get sick while space cruising.

Um, if it smells funny, I would not eat it. If it looks black, green, moldy, wierd, then I would not eat it. If you arn't a risk taker, I would not eat it.

Please specify how long it has been in the chamber for, and next time you should fan prior to putting the mushrooms in the chamber. This extra, easy step garantees rot-free mushrooms.

Sounds like you need to change you dessicant for some fresh or bake the old to re-use. if they look slimy and rotten do not eat, better safe than sorry.
