is using a non-rotating fan for 24-48 hours to dry the mushrooms a effective way to preserve them?

I generally fan-dry 3 to 4 days.

just check that they break easily and dont bend.......that's when they're completely dry!

Fan till shrooms are light and mostly brittle.

Put in dessicant chamber for a few days..

They should make a satisfying CRACK when bent in half.

Preserve them then. You want them DRY DRY DRY
if they are to be preserved for any extended amount of time.
