Odd dessicant question

I didn't find no preserving/storing mushroom forum, so I'll just post here.

Some shrooms were picked. They were fanned. And then they were put in a dessicant chamber last night (NOTE: quite dry already). Before end of day, another shroom was picked to take a sporeprint, and the fan makes too much noise so a dessision was made to put that fresh mushroom also in the dessicant chamber. Today, ALL the shrooms are wet. Why? Did that shroom alone higher the humidity in the chamber causing all othoer shrooms to get wet? Anyone has any experience on this subject? BTW dessiccant chamber setup is easy: Sealed container containing a jar of dessicant. Put shrooms in sealed container. seal. Some sticky mass to hold the little jar in the container.

The desiccant got saturated and the 1 fresh shroom moistened all the other shrooms.

It?s allways a good idea to predry the shrooms before putting them in the chamber.
