DMT

I found a half gram of some really great looking DMT at Bonnaroo. It was a totally random occurence. I was looking for a wire wrap pendant for danksis and the guy had dmt. I never dreamed that I would run into this substance at a festival.

My question is this: What is a good way to smoke it? I plan on going out into the woods and experiencing this bizarre hallucinogen. Anything in particular that I should know before going into this?

I suggest smoking it indoors, it seems easier to brake through. Also the visuals are so far out there it doesn't even really matter where u are anymore cause your in hyperspace if you know what i mean. You can freebase it out of a crack pipe which you can buy at your local head shop, or you can do the parsley sandwich method which works pretty good as well. In a regular pipe (not bong) put down some parsley in the bowl, put your dmt then more parsley. The layer on the bottom collects all the dmt when it melts to a liquid and the layer on top prevents the flames from directly burning the substance. Smoke it like salvia. Long hits and hold in for awhile, keep going till you cant. 3 hits seems to be average. Have fun and share your experience.

Indoors or out, it will change your life--both are incredible-- same is true of inside w/lights, and dark-- music on (pick carefully though) and silence.
As mentioned above, you can do just fine smoking it in a bowl w/greens-- though I don't use unburnt green, I use completely burned (*completely* burned) ashes on top of a couple of screens-- for me (and this applies only to clean white spice) the taste and burning mentioned by others is nonexistent this way-- just a sweet, kinda chemical taste. The ash and screens keeps the liquefying spice from dripping down into the pipe, and lets you flame it thoroughly and deep.

You can't prepare for this-- just be ready to be ready....

what exactly would be the problem with using a bong?

the dmt is turned into liquid then gas upond igniting and then would go through the water cooling down and turning back to solid and staying in the water. While i have no scientific proof or tried a bong myself ive heard many reports of it being wasteful.

Freebase DMT should be insoluble in water though, eh? What would it matter of the phase changes that occur?

i can safely say

A bit of ash in a bowl with the spice sprinkled on top is my preferred method though.

i too recommend doing it indoors, in a mostly dark room, with no music. i like just putting it in a pipe with a layer of parsley above and below the dmt. works like a charm.

I am not sure exactly how the accurate the whole DMT liquid gas solid thing goes but I can tell you this. I have used a bong to smoke DMT several dozen times. For me that is the preferred method. I have a 42" light green acrylic bong, I love to fill it with cold filtered water, I get that chamber full of thick smoke and pop the carb and BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!! instant Launch every time with one monster toke. I find that the acrid smoke is easier to take in very deep and hold for a while. I don't smoke Reefer so the bong has only had DMT in it. I have a 100% breakthrough success rate when launching with my bong. Usually it takes me two breaths to get the chamber filled with smoke. I toke very slow and try not to bring the thick smoke all the way up to my mouth. Then the third breath is with the carb open to bring the smoke into my lungs. It works like a charm. I swear by it.

I have always smoked my DMT out of a test tube with a carb blown in one end. It works wonderfully provided you have the technique down. I never had a problem smoking it as the technique to vaporize it properly seems intuitive but apparently that is not so for everyone. Seems like most people I have given some too either don’t get a full hit, usually from the DMT ‘running’ from the heat or they inhale the crystal before it melts fully then choke on it. Sadly this is always after I counsel them carefully on how to smoke it properly too.

I think I will make a DMT bong using one of my test tubes as a vaporization chamber. It sounds like a neat way to smoke it; I imagine it is easier to inhale a full dose that way.

Now the idea of doing hotlines just occurred to me. Has anyone here ever tried to do a hotline with DMT?

I have seen it done with methamphetamine before. The user takes a length of glass tube; heats one end until it is nearly red hot then quickly snorts a line through it from the cool end. The material instantly vaporizes on the way through the hot section leaving you with mostly smoke upon insufflation if done properly.

Cool i guess ill give it a try sometime, id imagine it would be easier to breakthrough considering the amount of smoke you get from a bong is a lot more.

I've done it out of a bong. Believe there was no water. I don't really mind the smoke as much as many people, so it wasn't needed anyway.

Knocked me on the floor though, very literally.

I was "in" the trip for 3 minutes. I could have done my grocery shopping ten minutes later. But all I wanted to do was bask in the afterglow.

Hard trips will often last around 10 minutes for me. I'm pretty much always straight within 15 minutes. As others have said though those few minutes may seem like a lifetime, or lifetimes depending on the intensity of your experience. It is truly wild stuff.

It will probably last less than 10 minutes.. Probably less than 5.

You'll feel the glow for about 10 minutes after though

I'd recommend being indoors since it'll be real hard to light outside if you're freebasing.

Get a meth pipe, or if you don't want to be a tweaker hollow out a lightbulb. IMO it's the best method out there.

Have a safe trip, this stuff is amazing.
