So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

There must be a particular reason that you're asking, no?

And how exactly does one chew their cuticles anyway?

Chewing your cuticles is very urban. I think you have war syndrome or something.

actually, i would lean more towards hippies not caring about cuticles, or any other hygiene in general.

I carry around nail clippers on my keychain so I can clip dead skin around the fingers when needed. Cleaner cut which will help the skin grow back faster and you're not having to stick your fingers in your mouth to remove the skin

Actually I associate that more with stressed out business types...

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.
