Hey guys just went on my 1st shroom hunt in central florida. dident really know what to expect but i got one that looks like a cube. i got pics but dont know how to upload so can anyone help? also about 10 yards down the dirt road i was on i heard a sound in the bushes, thought it was a snake or a coon or something to take a pic of but it was a huge hogg! ahh i ran away and grabbed my shroom ready to bolt. but me being my curious self i had to throw a rock in his direction to scare him to see what he would do and he came in the road and looked at me and stopped and then i made a loud roarrrrrrrrrrrrrr and he ran away. heh nice lil saturday afternoon by the rives in cent fla :smile: heh so thanks guys. pics are otw when i figure out how to. thanks!

That's a bolete. The blue is non-psilocybian in boletes. Many species of boletes bruise blue. Some are edible; some are poisonous; none of them will get you high.

bah so i just got bak from my 2nd hunt today was out for a few hours with my girl but no luck. where do u cent fla hunters look? just in cow pastures under trees and shit or?

Cow pastures are your best bet. On old dung (occasionally on fresh). Look under trees and around water like ponds or soggy ground. Tall clumps of grass are notorious for hiding cubes from us, so always look in them. A clump of grass in a field is, in fact, indicative of an old patty. Me and my friends would get in a line about 10 feet apart and walk to the other end of the field, then take a few steps over and walk back. We repeat this process until a field was completely searched, and it never takes long. Good luck!

My favorites are weeping willows, which aren't really weeping at all. They're very wispy, witty and will dance in the breeze with you. Nothing like a tree that wants to dance with you. Although it doesn't like its thin limbs being pulled at all, it absolutely LOVES it when you walk through them, letting them gently slide over your face and shoulders. thats basically what we did. and there were tons of old dung all over but no mushies :frown:. it wasent a real cow field but it was along the saint jons river. were going out again tomm and search for more spots. possibly go out to a field with a night vision camera and see what happens.  and for the people that have actually tripped on these fla mushies how its is???

Good luck. I am in central florida as well, and funny enough the spot ive been looking in is somewhat near the st. johns river. Went out to this spot about 3 days ago in the late evening so we still had some daylight, just to scope things out. We decided to get out and walk around and found about 5 diffrent species of mushrooms, including copes.
We went out 2 days after that and didnt see anything. I think it has been too dry recently. Once a good rain comes we should find something.

nice bro! yea those days we had that killer rain woulda been perfect but its been days without rain so oh well just gota get lucky. im smoking a bowl right now then going hunting again. ill take some pics of anything interesting i see like or w.e i see. ttyl everyone! ill be bak! wish me luck heh

Just got back. uploading pics now. i found these white mushies in a cow patie. The cow pattie on the top kinda was like a cave and the mushies were growing under the lil cave. it was sweet and i spotted them in my car just on the side of the dirt road!!! kk loadin pics now :smile:

those look alot like pan ants (Panaeolus_antillarum) Info on these


I find em all the time when hunting for cubensis... They seem to love dung..just like cubes
also they are NOT active/magical

yea he did seem to know what he was talkin about and i looked at randoms  link and those did look alot like the ones i had but not 100% alike but oh well. i think imm wait till more of this summer rain comes around. was tons of fun. saw shit loadsssssss of alligators and a turkey lol. thanks guys :smile:
