I live in south australia these shrooms were found in a eucalyptus forsest on some mulch. They all stain blue i am thinking they are psilocybe subrareaginosas.

If you want to know what they are, follow the instructions in the sticky threads at the top of the forum.
Start by getting a spore print (on white paper). Then, let us know about the things we can't tell from looking a the photos. are parts of them slimy or sticky? Do they have a distinctive odor?
In the meantime, you say you've eaten some of them. Congratulations, you've violated the first rule about eating mushrooms.
NEVER EAT AN UNIDENTIFIED MUSHROOM.
Doing things like that is exactly the sort of thing that gets people nominated for Darwin Awards.
Just glancing at your mushrooms, they're closer looking to Inocybe than Psilocybe. Inocybes are very poisonous - they have caused fatalities.
Let us know if you've won a trip to the local emergency room with this stunt.
Happy mushrooming!

Geo I'm in the right mind to get you banned right now. You're a god damn moron. Don't ever reccomend that anyone eat an unidentified mushroom.
Lysergictripper, those mushrooms look like they could be something deadly. Hope you're not busy puking your brains out with a failing liver right now.
This has to be one of the most discraceful threads in the history of this forum.

You all seem way too upset over this....it's my personal opinion that if people want to be stupid and risk killing themselves, then let em do it. Only an asshole would eat an unidentified mushroom, and there are too many assholes in the world already.

Yellow spore prints and bruise blue, eh? I think your definition of brusing blue is probably skewed somehow. I don't know of any mushrooms with a yellow spore print that bruise blue.
This is very important: is the spore print color rusty?
I'm really hoping you didn't find some of the deadly Cortinarius mushrooms that cause kidney failure. If this is the case you won't see signs of poisoning for another 10-20 days. To be honest the first thing I thought when I saw those mushrooms was "it's some kind of Cort."
Wait to see what ToxicMan says, but I've got a feeling you could have made a bad mistake(well, eating unidentified mushrooms was a bad mistake, but it might be worse).

Effed dug this up, and I think it would serve you well to read it and consider:
History: History of exposure is of utmost importance; without it, diagnosing mushroom or orellanine poisoning is unlikely. History of mushroom ingestion may be very remote, particularly with orellanine, since early gastrointestinal symptoms may not be severe enough for patients to seek medical attention. Patients with symptoms of renal failure may not present until 1-3 weeks after exposure. The emergency physician should routinely inquire about mushroom ingestion whenever a patient presents with gastroenteritis. A shorter latent period before onset of illness suggests more severe toxicity and greater risk of more severe renal failure than delayed onset of illness. Improvement in renal injury may occur within several weeks to months; however, renal injury may last months to years and patient may require chronic hemodialysis or renal transplant.
Important details of ingestion include the following:
Time of ingestion and, most importantly, time from ingestion to onset of symptoms (onset typically delayed)
Amount ingested
If co-ingestion of other types of mushrooms occurred
If other people ingested the same mushrooms and, if so, their reactions or symptoms
Where the mushrooms were picked Gastrointestinal symptoms Nausea and vomiting
Abdominal pain
Diarrhea or constipation
Symptoms are usually mild and observed 24-48 hours postingestion. Renal symptoms Flank pain
Intense thirst (sometimes described as burning)
Polyuria or oliguria Anuria (rare) Acute renal failure may occur anytime from 36 hours to 2 weeks postingestion. Systemic symptoms Anorexia Chills Myalgias Dysgeusia Rash Neurologic Somnolence Lassitude Headache Paresthesias Tinnitus Seizures (rare) Physical: Patients with orellanine induced renal failure may have a paucity of findings on physical examination.
Assess volume status With anorexia and polyuria, volume depletion may be present. With anuric renal failure, volume overload is possible. Neurologic With modest degrees of renal dysfunction, mental status may be relatively preserved. With more advanced renal failure, depressed mentation, confusion, or coma may occur. Myoclonus and asterixis suggest uremia in this setting. Gastrointestinal: By time of presentation, abdominal symptoms may have resolved. Renal: Flank tenderness may be present. Other findings: Signs of uremia (eg, pericarditis, pleuritis, volume overload) may be present. Causes: Risk factors include ingesting mushrooms of the Cortinarius group that contain the renal toxin orellanine. Severity is partially proportional to amount of toxin ingested.
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms (and even if you aren't) you should go seek a professional opinion. Don't fuck with the mushroom.

blue meanie did not say those shrooms were non toxic. he said, quote "Those are not a Psilocybe species. The gill colour indicates that the spore print would probably be lightish - they dont look like poisonous hypholoma or galerina, but still they aint active." as you can see the mushrooms you ate have not been identified and the fact that they dont resemble hypholoma or galerina does not mean that they were not toxic

It's been about 24 hours? That's a promising sign. Most toxins would have shown symptoms by now. They don't look like the deadly Cortinarius species. That doesn't mean you're 100% clear yet. After all, the deady Cortinarius were discovered to be deadly in 1953. There are certain to be a lot of currently unknown poisonous and deadly mushrooms discovered in the future. Keep eating unknown mushrooms and you can be the one who discovers one of them.
It looks like you got lucky (that you're not in the hospital, that is).
Before you consider eating anything you find in the future, learn a bit more about what the ones you want to eat look like. DO NOT go around matching specimens to photographs. People end up in emergency rooms all the time because they try to identify mushrooms that way.
Blue bruising is an important feature in identification. To bruise a mushroom, cut it in half vertically and scrape the inside of one half with your knife edge (not gently - you're trying to bruise it). In some mushrooms the color changes from bruising can take up to an hour, so don't be discouraged if you don't see it in 10 seconds. In mushrooms where the flesh is strongly colored, blue bruising can be difficult to imposible to see. Panaeolus subbalteatus is an example - experienced mycologists will bruise the whitish mycelium at the base of the stem of this species to see the bruising.
One of the most important features for identification is spore print color. If you don't already know how, learn how to make a spore print. And make them for any mushroom you're identifying. DO NOT assume that the color of the gills is the color of the spores - there are a lot of exceptions to that rule. Inocybes (which are almost all poisonous) often have white gills. I've found some Inocybes this year that looked just like Mycenas until a day or two passed and the ripening spores changed the apparent gill color.
And NEVER eat any mushroom unless you know (for certain - this IS a case of life and death) exactly what species it is. Misidentification is the main cause of mushroom poisoning. Before you eat a mushroom you need to be able to tell not only what species it is, you need to be able to tell how you know what species it is. The "how you know" part should not be limited to only 2 or 3 characteristics. You need to be able to go over the entire text description of the species and verify every single thing in it. Any mismatch shows that you have the wrong species.
Happy mushrooming!

I thought I'd mention that a mere 1 or 2 days doesn't get you out of the woods with the deadly Cortinarius species. You could show no symptoms for 2 or more weeks and then get sick!
If you find yourself showing the symptoms of kidney disfunction, you should seek medical attention. The main symptoms you should watch for are excessive urination (way more than normal) and extreme thirst (sometimes described as a burning thirst that you can't quench).
With medical attention the survival rate is fairly good (better than 90%).

i recomend you be entirely honest in the event that you have to go to the hospital and tell all the details to the staff. i hope you all fare well and learn your lesson but make sure all parties who have ingested these mushrooms get and take the advice you have been given.
good luck.

This guy is just a kid, he made a childish mistake that i'm sure he'll learn from. It was stupid, everyone knows that, but we all did stupid things as kids that we've learned from (hopefully we all learned that is). I just hope he doesn't pay a big price for his mistake. Sitting here and talking shit and making him feel even worse does no good, lets just try and offer encouragement and sound advise from now on. He already knows he fucked up and to never do it again.
It looks promising so far, thank god.
If you or any of your friends start feeling the slightest bit sick get to the EMERGENCY ROOM ASAP. BE 100% HONEST WITH THEM!
