different alcohol producing different buzzes??
    #7031760 -

I've heard this quite a few times, that different alcohol drinks produce different buzzes. I guess it can be possible because different drinks are made from different spirits. I'm not too experienced with alcohol since I'm not up to age yet. Only drinks I've had is beer and rum, and the only thing that was different was the rum obviously got me drunker. I even heard someone say that red wine produces a buzz similar to cannabis. I've never had red wine, so I don't know. But I still find that very doubtful.

So what are you opinions on this? Notice different drinks producing different buzzes?

"If we could sniff or swallow something that would, for five or six hours each day, abolish our solitude as individuals, atone us with our fellows in a glowing exaltation of affection and make life in all its aspects seem not only worth living, but divinely beautiful and significant, and if this heavenly, world-transfiguring drug were of such a kind that we could wake up next morning with a clear head and an undamaged constitution - then, it seems to me, all our problems (and not merely the one small problem of discovering a novel pleasure) would be wholly solved and earth would become paradise." - Aldous Huxley

Its possible that the different types of alcohol concoctions have effects on absorption rates and absorption areas in the body. Who knows, it may affect something.

I personally think its all bullshit.. alcohol is all the same to me, garbage.

I don't tend to like the feeling I get from hard alcohol. Beer's ok. But the best buzz in my book is wine(white wine, though -- red wine gives me headaches).

the method of consumption has alot to do with it i.e. you dont do funnels of wine or if you do you are one fucked individual. however i do think that what the drink is made out of can def have different effects on you. just the other ingredients whether there is carbonation, caffene, sugars etc can do different things to you. also as Acyl said the absorption rates can be different i would think.

some beer has hops in it other don't.
hops itself is a sedative and it's noticeable in brews.

Gin has Juniper Berries and a bunch of other herbs so it definitely produces a different kind of buzz... I think it's a more energetic one

Of course there's Absinthe

Chartreuse has a ton of different herbs in it, some similar to Absinthe

Who knows what the fuck is in Jagermeister

Each of those will definitely be different from the other in buzz though.

Doesn't Dionysus look like Jesus in that pic?

Then again, the average Greek teenager was pretty confused:
