I think the concept of confidence is more relevant than that of faith for this to function. Our intentions must be guided by positive motivation, for there to be a positive result for oneself and others. The context of prayer is just as necessary as consideration of setting and set in the psychedelic world. It is just as relevant now as it has been in the past, but it is a tool and relies on ones intentions, motivations and view, how the results of prayer application will be.

Thats not the kind of prayer I mean, prayer can be used to focus the mind, so we might have more insight and strengthen our intuitive wisdom. Power of positive thinking is not enough, we need a medium by which we can integrate. I think prayer is very useful to this end.

It may be relevant to some but it is not necessary for results. Tools evolve as anyone can tell who goes to the hardware store.

This sounds like meditation. But you can train the mind to focus by looking deeply at a flower. I really don't see the point in talking to yourself and pretending (IMO) that someone or something is listening.

I just feel that its all the same thing. The dude in the sky IS the subconscious/IS whats called God/IS whats experienced on psychedelics and this is what prayer/religion/spirituality are ultimately dealing with.

Its not a case of pretending anything, the prayer can act as a focus through which we can communicate with and integrate the more subtle, deeper aspects of ourselves. Nothing has to be done with focus on an outer aspect, although with intention and focus it will have some function on an outer and an inner level.
