Life or death?

What is more humane? Life in prison or the death penalty?
You may choose only one

Choice 1 got cut off; it's supposed to say:

"...the death penalty is more moral and more humane than imprisonment for life. Capital punishment kills a man at once, but lifelong imprisonment kills him slowly. Which executioner is the more humane, he who kills you in a few minutes or he who drags the life out of you in the course of many years?"

you shouldn't end a choice with a question, that makes the poll confusing.  it should just say "Death Penalty" in one box and "Life Imprisonment" in the other.

that said, I think it's more humane to give the death penalty, provided they do the execution in a humane manner (which they don't for the most part ... lots of news reports about that ... lethal injection and the electric chair are supposedly godawful painful, and sometimes you don't even die the first try ... :shake: )

I personally have never been to jail, but being a white, small-ish young male, I'd rather be killed before the first day of my sentence.

Death is only the beginning.

Besides I'd rather die straight up as opposed to sitting around waiting to die.

too many people are being found innocent of sex crimes when DNA is done. Im sure if the same care was taken care to look over the sentences of some convicted felons, we'd start to see innocent men go free.

yes, there are plenty of guilty men in jail, but lets remember OJ and Baretta. Two free killers with a lot of money. I used to be a staunch supporter of Capital Punishment, but no longer. I am for family planning, and stronger family bonds, we'd see a lot less folks in jail if the parental bond was strengthened.

Inhumane for the ones that are paying for it.

Who cares which is more humane? Chop off their balls and let them roam free.

Yes but in this life I have the choice to do what I want.
If I was to be confined to a box for the rest of my life; sat around waiting to die, I'd rather die.

Its not really the criminals choice, as to what they wo0uld rather have. And if u did something that u got the death penalty for then u deserve to die in agony and pain. But if u want to go towards the painfree type of death sentence I say that they should take all the opiates they confiscate and make them od that way it wouldnt be painful theyd just go to sleep
