KNOCKS MY SOCKS OFF

Rogers Video is QUALITY WORK.

Well worth the cost.
Hell, worth 10 times the cost.
To a novice.
Because it will save them way more than the purchase price.
In time, materials & mistakes they would make.
If they did not have it.

Something ALL new hands should have.
*agar's* stamp of approval all over it.

LOL, just the truth.
No pitch at all.
It's a great video.

Reality is:
It gives you fundamental techniques.
That take years to learn, from scratch.
So, it saves you from LOTS of common mistakes.
We as newbies, all made.

I wish I would have had it, years back.
It would have saved my time, materials & lots of aggravation.

I don't like how they make it look as though sanitary precautions are unnecessary when in fact, to the noob, they are. Just my opinion, but otherwise, what i've seen of it, it's great! I really can't fathom that there is anything on that video, that couldn't be learned via simple research here though.

I'm sure there is more info on here than there is on RR's DVD but, look at what we're doing here we're growing mushrooms. Which in general should mean we aren't the type of people who would like to spend hours searching and hoping that a thread is right. I'd rather sit on my couch, spark a blunt, and push a play button   RR FTW where can I buy the vid at?

the biggest problem here is so many different idea's, and lots of wrong information.

people say coir sucks for casings then later i read coir gets 75% as good as peat or w/e.....to me that 25% doesn't mean much and coir is alot easier for me to get ect ect. but that one person who said it sucked if i had stopped there......

to me it was worth it to watch someone (and give the measurements) making PF jars more than one at a time, gotta say PF's dont suck nearly as much now that I'm jamming 5 in a bowl at a time..

trial and error was allmost the end of my growing attempts. for 6 months, nothing but mistakes. now i have my popcorn casing tek down pat. little victories along the way were always cause for celebration

with that being said, im sure some people would rather skip the mad scientist rout and go straight to RR's proven teks. i think it is an excellent learning tool!

besides some poeple would learn better visually through an organized video, then taking bits and pieces here and there from threads.

to each his own. i think im going to get it and give it as a gift to some of my newbie grower friends. defintely should give them some inspiration.

you should watch the full DVD and just try to count how many times he states sterile procedure is of utmost importance.

Plus, like makaveli stated, there are too many mixed opinions on here. RR's dvd shows you straight up technique to get fruitbodies in the simplest and most efficient manners possible.

I kind of liked messing up and learning from it hahah.  Made me just the more excited when things went RIGHT :lmao:.

However, I'd have still liked the video as well.

You must not have seen it. I go into detail in the g2g and agar sections on how sterile one must be. There is not room for error, and that's made very clear. What is also made clear is many people waste time trying to be sterile when they don't need to be, such as spawning straw. I demonstrate building the exact laundry basket pictured on the cover, on my far from sterile kitchen floor.

Thanks for the props guys. That screen shot doesn't do the picture of trich justice. Here's the actual picture used.

I personally would rather sit on here all day reading then watch the tube. Getting stupider every minute of sitting there IMO. I have made tons of mistakes, and did not even launch my first grow until after a year. I tried this stupid kit that I through in the trash. My first grow was beginners luck. It was sitting on here all day though that helped me develope the McGuyver skills necessary to trouble shoot problems without getting on here, and hoping for a response. I liked the dvd and suggest that most people buy it. I still look at it and would do a lot of it differently just because thats what I do.
Props on the dvd RR

This place is great. But if you are a noob there is so much information here, a lot of it conflicting and some of it questionable, it can be a bit daunting.

Having a DVD that goes through things step by step with proven methods is a bloody god send. It's gonna save a lot of people a lot of time. There is a lot that can be learned from these guys.

Putting the PF Tek sections on YouTube is great for the community.

As far as I can see RR and roadkill have spent a lot of time here helping hundreds if not thousands of people, and seem to do so in a very dignified manner.

It's great to see people following their passion.
I wish them the best of luck with this very useful enterprise.
