The odds of that white cottony growth in your friend's jar being cobweb mold are about the same as the President signing a bill next year legalizing hallucinogens.
I would bet that the ''mystery growth'' is just a tomentose, or cottony, mycelia section. Don't sweat it.
If your wondering when the contaminations will become evident, the answer is probably about after the 10th time you open up that jar and sniff it. Just leave it alone.

She will be pleased to hear that. She squirted a lot in that hole, about 2cc's worth so I told her that it probably just got a headstart. Thanks for replying.
