We will be hitting the fields tomorrow night. Not really prime time to be hunting, although I think there will be enough for a nice trip.

Another big cube find! Exact same field that I was referring to in the original first post of this thread.

Total haul came in at 6lbs wet, I ended up with almost 2 and half pounds after everyone got their share, minus the shrooms that was ate and the ones we used to make tea.

My ex ol lady shot out with the digital cam, so all I have is a webcam, shitty pics, but at least its something.

The field is still loaded to the brim. Just waiting on a local to get something together so we can go get the rest!

It's time to straight murda the fields! It's going down, got a hunt planned for tonight, should be bringing in more shrooms then humanly possible, whatever the case, there will be pics, so ya'll stay tuned..

theDman...Wtf? here in souf Alabama the highs are in the mid 80's and the lows, mid to high 60's. May feels like only the beginning here.

I know this fact. Every time I've shroomed successfully in this area, its been 80 degrees or so at night, with humidity so high the very act of walking the field covers you in sweat and the thick dew drenches your pants up to your knees. And thats in ankle high grass.

My favorites are weeping willows, which aren't really weeping at all. They're very wispy, witty and will dance in the breeze with you. Nothing like a tree that wants to dance with you. Although it doesn't like its thin limbs being pulled at all, it absolutely LOVES it when you walk through them, letting them gently slide over your face and shoulders. Those 4 lbs were found a month ago, this thread is old.

My most recent find (2 nights ago) brought in 6 lbs, in 30 minutes, and we didnt even leave the fenceline.

I'm going back tonight, if it ever stops raining. This time, i'll have more time to hunt, and less time constantly confirming ID's from less knowledgable shroomers.

All I can say is 'oh my holy fucking cow shit'.

Just got back from the hunt with a fellow shroomerite, it seems that everything was on our side.

It's been raining all day, it rained on the drive to the field, got to smoke a joint before hitting the field and it was still raining. Pulled up to the field, and the rain stopped.. completely. It didnt rain a drop on us during our whole hunt, which lasted around an hour.

15 pounds wet. Yes, 15 pounds. I'm laying them out to dry now, once I get them layed out, I'll be taking pics. This find deserves its own new thread, so I'll post a new thread after I post the pics in this thread.

We passed up just as many as we picked. And we only covered an area of about 2 acres... outta about 1000. We didnt even get to the spot we was aiming for, the bags were full. Infact we started only picking BIG ones, passing up small and even medium sized shrooms.

They are a little water-logged from this day-long rain, but I'm taking care of that now.

Ya'll check back in a lil bit for the pics.

All I could get a hold of was a webcam, so here's the best I could do with what I got.

That is an area covering about 6x4.

Look at this beauty, this one wieghs 48 grams wet.

The webcam doesnt do those big ones justice, they are truly huge. Awesome find.

I'm proud of this one, ya'll give me and avatarofdiscord some props on this one, for real.

Half my house is now a shroom-drying facility. I have shrooms spread out in 3 different locations. Each with an independent fan. I need to get more desiccant.

avatar, dont forget about those shrooms I gave you. I think you put them in your center console. (wouldnt wanna get pulled over with that still in your car).

The harvest will be better next time. Conditions wasnt even at 100% last night.. it had been raining all day, and as I posted, we passed up as many, if not more, then we picked.

I've never been in a field where literally EVERY patty had shrooms on it. It's simply amazing. The rain has subsided, the next few days are gonna be monumental. I want to go back tonight, and the next night.. each hunt is gonna bring in the same size haul, if not.. bigger. Specially after yesterdays day-long rain. Once the sun comes out and dries things up a bit, there is gonna be too many to pick.

Well, if you do it right then they can be saved for quite some time.

I bag em up after completely drying them. Once they're cracker-dry, I'll prepare 1/8's and ounces and vacuum-seal them with desiccant packs in each package, to ensure freshness.

I'm estimating at least a quarter pound dry on this haul, and as long as there dry enough, once vacuum-sealed, they should stay good for up to a year. Even longer if you take drastic measures, such as refridgeration.

Well, I eat them!

This hunt should hold me and my hunting partner for at least the rest of the year, if there are any left over after a year, then they will get replaced by the fresh ones we pick. Because even if you have a stash of shrooms dried out somewhere, a true shroomer is still gonna hit the fields.. at least thats how I feel. Even with this many shrooms, I still look forward to consecutive hunts, to either replenish, or replace current stock.

I have about 3 oz dried. I am going again tomorrow, and I should get at least another 3 oz dried. What I really can't wait for is the Copes. I am really looking forward to them coming into season which should not be long.

I've never found any other active shroom but cubensis in my fields.

Infact, I've only found one other shroom in the field other than cubensis, and the whole shroom was solid white, with pink/red gills. I suspected it being poisenious and was gonna bring it in for an ID, but our bags was full to the brim with cubes, and figured it would have been a waste of time.

Yeah dirty, that system that rained TX out is now moving over to us here around Mobile bay. I'm watching these dark clouds and high winds move over me right now. I haven't traversed the field that I live in the middle of yet, but walking the fenceline shows no signs of any activity. We've been in a veritable drought recently, so I'm hoping for a torrential downpour for an hour or so. Also I've just recently noticed the further west from here the higher the average temps get, explaining why activity hasn't kicked in in our area yet while on the same parallel you are reaping massive quantities. I Don't know why I never learned this before, but I know it now.

Planning on tubing/camping the river in a week or so, and with any luck I'll be feeling the psilocin right about the time we get there. High hopes.
