That is a real nice find dude.
Like the Lizard King says, the people who cultivate know that there are a zillion different substrates that these mushrooms (Cubes in particular) will utilize. -In every instance though, it begins will the dung and then spreads onto other suitable natural substrates available.
One time i found a Cube in a lawn, here in florida.
I?ve found Cubes on stable shavings and horse dung, as the Lizard mentioned.
And also great amounts of Cubes in the pasture, where the farmer had laid dozens of ?beds? of mulch/hay/grass clippings for the cows to sleep on, then they shit all over their beds and after time the Cubes begin growing out of the mixture better than they will do out of a cow pie.
But it is the cow pie that is key to innoculating everything else.
Keep shroomin, GG

"Religion is a defense against a religious experience"
Carl G. Jung
"So really, ordinary reality is a kind of chemical habit, sanctioned by culture, which says it's okay to use certain drugs, eat certain foods, and have certain sexual behaviors. However, when you transcend all this pre-conditioning by returning to the original wisdom of the animal body, then you discover this immense dimension of opportunity. For some people, it is a frightening risk. To me, that's the psychedelic experience." Terence McKenna
