My plant / 400W HPS questions?

So this is my plant its about 3-4 weeks old now I think not shure fully, I dont have the right lights for it at this point in growth thought it currently under one 75W grow light, I have a buddy in town who is selling two 400W HPS light kits for 150$ each would it be worth it to get it or is 150$ canadian too high? I can get the brand and all that and theres no warrenty on it

offer him 60$ if the ballast is remote. If its attached to the light and would have to be in the grow room its worthless. You can pick up a brand new setup where I live in Canada at a electrical supply store (not a home depot they are garbage) for like 90 bucks with everything. He probably don't think he is ripping you off and it will be hard to convince him its worth less then what he payed for cuz he probably payed like 250 bucks at a hydroponic store they are such a rip off. I seen the exact same set up I picked up at the electronic store for 90 bucks they had for 175$ same boxes not even put togeather they just picked it up for a extra 85$.

yeah try to haggle the price a bit, and make sure they work before buying them...id jump on getting them though, that plant wont be as strung out anymore.(nodes are too far way from each other)

How old are the ballasts??? Are the lights new??

Do they come with reflectors??

These are all things you want to know before you spend anything.

Its never used...hubbell superbay ballasts. includes all mounting hardware and instructions.

it is the aluminum high bay onme,

philips bulb 0 hours. hubbell ballast never used.

he changed the price to 100$

His plant looked pretty spindly and there's a lot of space between those internodes...


I wouldn't scrap it but he should get some more beans, 400W is a lot for just one plant..

by the time the plant would be ready to bud it would be pretty damn tall. after budding it would triple in hieght.

already it needs support to hold itself up. not good.
maybe if he clips the top now and keeps it tied down when it branches out it would be ok though.
