this is a delicate process that you need to take lots of time doing. take a large flower pot and prepare some good soil in it for your plant. take a shovel and dig a HUGE hole around the entire plant, i mean big. we are trying to not hurt the roots as much as possible. dig slowly around the plant, about 2.5 feet away from the stalk. it needs to be this big and you cant be a lazy pothead about it. dig 7 inch wide, 3 foot trench all the way around the plant. when this is done take your shovel and *Cut the bottom of the dirt wad you just made with all your hard ass work. now you have your pot plant in a big ball of dirt and your ready to take it home. gentley take away as much dirt as you can from around the ball, and plant the plant in the pot you set up with dirt.
that is how i'd bring the girl inside.
do not stress her out too much or she will have a sex change operation and youll be pissed.
the leaves are going to droop and sag and look all half dead for a few days as it adjusts to the indoors. give it tlc and she will make it.
i dont want the print. but thanks

IT should be flowering by now. if its not, well looks like you planted some mexi bagseed or something. anything remotely close to a North american outdoor strain would be flowering by now. probably best to let it go, its not worth diggin up this late in the ballgame.
if you're serious about growing head over to overgrow.com and learn to grow indoors. its not that risky, and you can grow some really great bud first time around with some seeds from a reputable seed vendor. give it a go i highly recommend it i am a novice grower but have grown shit that knocks people's socks off. go for it and invest a little time, energy and money!

thats the way to not be optimistic, let the man try to save his girl. anything is possible.
i say screw letting it go, bring her inside and try your best. it will not hurt anything and more than likely you could use some excersize.

rasjoe2112 ,
I agree with Psychoslut, and remember do whatever it takes to ensure the the plant goes through as little stress as possible. You do not want your girl do go hermi on you.
Overgrow is a good site to learn on. At first it is quite overwhelming with its sheer amount of posts, but after a while you learn how to quickly sift through the crap and sort out the worth while posts.
I know that you said that you do not have any money but if you can scrounge up around 10$ you can go to walmart and buy a four foot shop light and two fluorescent tubes. Buy 40 watt lights. This will be enough for you to atleast see some yield from your girl.
Peace

if salvaging her doesn't look like an option (too sketchy or too big of a root system), you can at least get a bunch of clones going. then use the leftover leaves for hash or brownies.
cannabisculture.com is also a great website dedicated to growing. check it out.

I cant afford anything more than a $15-20 growing system.

keep them outside as long as you can. seperate them to diff containers and deweed the pots. the more real light they get, the better. sit them in your window sill or something on days its too cold. bring them in at night and set them under a cardboard box. You can yield 7-14g off each of those if you take good care of them

15-20 dollars can get you a couple four foot fluoros. I am telling you they will grow you some decent weed. Just hang them over the pot in a closet or whatever.
Here is a link to the fluoro section over at OG. Hope this helps.

can I just start keeping em inside 24-7? The weeds are majoram, the were to disguise them outside.
Im gonna get 4 high flor lamps, and a box Im gonna line in aluminum foil. I just wanna know how long the lights need to stay on.

Don't waist your time flowering with flourescent light. They work well for maintaing mother plants, clones and even vegative growth, but if you want some dicent herb you have to go with high pressure sodium. Those plants are small enough that I would start over indoors. I'm speaking from presonal experience.

Yeah those will turn out pathetic under 40-80w of fluoro. Add some compact fluorescents if you must go indoor.
I say just flower it in your window sill receiving at least 5-6 hrs of light, the buds will be better than under flouros

If you get some more lights or a compact fluorescent or two you could keep them under veg like that for a while with some nutes and it won't be bad, but you still need an HPS lamp for flowering. But I'd also just start over. If you won't start over, get those fluoros real close to your plants. You won't get anything spectacular in the end, but it'll be bud, and you'll have grown it yourself, and it'll be better than middle grade mids and I suspect that's more your goal; "to grow your own weed."
You'll want those lights on 24 hours a day or 20 hours a day, your choice. For flowering you'll want the HPS lamps though. I think though some people have posted some pics of fluoro grown weed only, maybe search for that. There's been many champions of the cheap man's pot. Maybe they'll even rear their heads in this thread. But i still suggest an HPS lamp for flowering even though i midly encourage you to keep growing those and using the fluoros for veg.

you will get buds under flouros, maybe even big ones if you use some high P fert, but they won't pack on trichomes or potency because there will be little light stress to induce trich production. if you're in GA, you're fine outdoors. afoaf is north & nearby and has seedlings out now. if they don't have time to flower before it starts freezing he will put them in a makeshift greenhouse or window sill to finish up.

Thanks for all the help. Im actually just doing this for fun, I can always get my hands on fresh nuggets. I just wanna goof around. The are sitting under two 40 floros right now, and they will be for 24 hours everyday until I notice something veg happening. As soon as I notice its maturing, Ill try n switch to HPS. Theyre growin in cow shit and a lil potting soil. Black angus cow shit. That had cubes growing out of it at one time.

You can use a single 2x 4' tube floros setup. For now the light can go horizontally about 1-2" over the tops. You can run them at 24/7 lighting or 16/8. Let them wet/dry cycle but dont let it get bone dry.
As they get taller bend them over with a string to promote lower growth. Once the lower growth syarrts to come out you can go a cheap flowering setup,
Put the pot in a corner with white walls or mylar. Lean the fixture over the pot at an accute angle. The plant should grow up and over to the light but tie all the branches so there 1-2" from the light.
It helps with the temps and Co2 to throw a fan blowing at the setup from a few feet away. The fan leaves can touch the bulbs and not burn as long you have a fan. This meathod exposes allot of vertical bud to close light esspecially with some training. Its been done on overgrow, i think its in the hall of clasics, and yuri-son (or is it san) did a copycat grow on grasscity.com.

Again,
1. Remove the non cannabis plants from the containers. 2. Seperate the plants into two different containers. Do this gently to not disturb the root system. 3. Change to 18/6 light. Go to 12/12 only when you are ready to flower. Keep in mind, some strains flower under less than 14hrs of light a day too.

i have to say a couple things 1. get them plants into seperate containers. do it gently like Organic says 2. get those floros closer. like an inch from the tops of the plants. trust me, floros suck unless they're real close- they won't burn, you can have the floros touching the plants and it won't harm em. 3. be careful. brining in plants from outdoors brings pathogens that otherwise wouldn't be present in an indoor garden. you kill the balance of nature when you bring something indoors from outdoors. you must be wary of spider mites, fungus gnats, etc etc. 4. keep em on 24-0 light schedule. there are no benefits to going 18/6 i've found ( besides saving a little $$$ on the electricity bill) you don't need to invest in a timer at this point.
thats just my 2 cents

photosynthesis requires a dark period. every veteran grower I've met recommends at least 15 mins of darkness. Thats 23.45/.15 I like 18/6 because its a gentle transition when moving plants outdoors and plants show sex at a few feet of height under this lighting when they wouldn't under 24/7.

theyre growing in cow shit and a lil potting soil. The fan leaves are getting large, but the plant stem doesnt seem to be thickening much. Ill take pics in a lil. And on one there is a purple tint like I said. What happens if I dont separate them into different pots? and what happens if I dont take the marjoram growing around it out?
They seem to be growing slowly, but it may just be me of course, prolly is.

i agree. a fan blowing (not directly on the seedlings but riding the current) will strenghten your stems signifigantly. purplish colored stems can be a sign of nutrient deficiency but it could also do with genetics. a lot of cannabis strains out there develop purplish stems. i also find that floro grows can help produce this purple feature. also, how often are you watering? a big mistake people make in cannnabis cultivation is overwatering. the plant needs to be on a wet/dry cycle. i agree with some other members here in saying to remove the two plants from the same container. you should never grow several cannabis plants in a single container...the roots will crowd and if you get a male in the mix it will be extremely difficult to remove it. also that container looks a little to big for plants of that size. it's good to transplant your plant into bigger containers when time allows...your plants need to be rootbound. sarting with a beercup or seedling container, then a medium sized container, and so on. this link is quite long but it covers a lot pertaining to cannabis cultivation.....

The other plants will compete with the cannabis for root space. Just like they will compete with each other. You should really take our advice, we kind of know what we're talking about here

because of all of the stresses surrounding the plants, including each other
this is the most important stage in sexing your plant. if you get a female I bet it will go hermie before long in those conditions.

feed em what?!? They seem healthy to me too...you have to feed em though?
How long should I be expecting to maintain this operation before I notice flowers or sexual orientation? Im still only giving them a few hours of dark every couple days, is that cool?

did you read the link i posted? it covers virtually everthing you need to know. the plants will show flowers when you set up the proper lighting and nutrient conditions. you can't just throw some seeds in a pot and expect fat potent colas...it takes a little bit of reading and understanding before you can grow decent herb. seriously, read the link. i didn't post it for nothing. trust me if you can grow boomers than you can grow pot. it just takes a little bit of knowledge to do so.

Don't waist your time flowering with flourescent light. They work well for maintaing mother plants, clones and even vegative growth, but if you want some dicent herb you have to go with high pressure sodium. Those plants are small enough that I would start over indoors. I'm speaking from presonal experience.
That's the best advise I can give you. Your going to be dissapointed if you think your going to get some herb from those plants. Read as much as you did to learn how to grow mushrooms and start again.

I buy 'Age Old Organic' fertilizer from a local plant shop, and you can flower the plant after about six weeks or when thet are one foot to a foot and a half tall.

"it's cheaper, more efficient"
Saddly ...they(Fluorescemnts) are not cheaper in terms of a Watts to Light ratio, they are not more efficent.
(infact HPS lights are the most efficent lights)

HPS is much better for flowering because it pentrates deeper and more intense into the plant's tissue. but the one good thing floro's do offer is their spectrum. so unless you have a good setup with several floros running then your yeild and potency will stay small

Yes cost less to buy ,but they waste ALOT money(*electricty) over time.
And, since they are so wastefull, they really dont use less , in a watt by watt comparison. (they use alot more power)
The newer compact fluorescents are good(much better then shop lights) but HPS still reigns supreme.

Compact Flourescent Lighting. Think your long shop lights (40w or whatever) compressed into a normal sized light bulb that goes in a socket. CFLs vary in wattage and save energy. They are cheap as hell too at Wal-Mart. One could put 4 CFLs on each side of those lights at the top and bush out their plants and have much more potent buds. Someone I knew mounted them in an adjustable way to the walls in a horizontal line and let their plants grow at an angle below the shoplight pair and toward the CFLs. They just adjusted the CFLs as the plants grew.

umm that's probably a lot feeding in from those spikes, especially a lot of P-K that's not necessarily needed in such high quantities.
Get some different fertilizer with more N and don't flood them with fertilizer. some good but more is not always better.

if you moved it and then it wilted prob needs water if you water it check back in bout 1/2hr if it stands back up than that was your problem but adding wet soil to dry soil will cause things to wilt . i wouldn't use the spikes just use your basic 10-10-10 or 20-20-20 if you want more detailed instructions then just pm me .

When you transplanted did you notice the color of the roots? They should be nice and white. If they're brown or worse then the plant has been overwatered.
It's also nice to add some Superthrive when you transplant to help with any shock.

You're waisting your time.
Learn how to grow marijuana and buy a dicent light.
This is going to come down to you saying "Dudes, why isn't my fucking plant getting bigger, wheres the bud? WTF WTF?!?!"
You will also get in the same amount of legal trouble for a couple of shitty plants that would never produce buds as you would for a couple six foot tall fully mature female plants, consider that.

Plant new seeds from good weed and start them uner your floros. Plug the HPS in the wall and turn it on them after they get to be about six inxhes tall.

Where did you buy this light? Do you have a link to it?
The one I have has a seperate ballast that plugs straight into the outlet. The light then has a 15ft cord that plugs into the ballast.
Don't mess around with electrical wiring if you have no idea what you're doing. Nothing worse than cops to show up for a fire or smoke and find plants (well there might be worse things).

Good luck, to make that suitable for growing herb takes some electrical know how, I wouldn't risk it. i.e. zaping myself/ buring my house down.

So I got the light hooked up, seems very yellow, not as bright as I thought...but...it keep turning itself on and off...
It will warm up, and then go out, and then come back on
