rye? moisture?

had a rye jar beginning to colonize. a day or two after it began colonizing it got hit with green. injected 12 cc h2o2 . shook jar. two days later no green. now mycelium stronger than other colonizing jars.
jar is isolated from others.
why?

could my rye be lacking adequate moisture.

could injecting distilled water help with colonization?

in preparing used one cup rye to 1/3 cup water. let sit overnight pc'd. let sit 8 hrs or so . ]

does sound too dry to me...why didnt you follow a tek? I dont know of a tek that calls for that little of water.
