I once came upon a field of cubensis along with a few friends and some lucky wal-mart bags that got to carry about 3 lbs. of shrooms home (dry weight). Let me just say that we were elated. We really scored, and what made it nice is there were only three of us to split! I took us about 5 hours to scour the whole field. Sorry, a littl nostalgia . . .*sniff* Anyway, I got mine and gave a lot of them away, only keeping about 3 oz. for myself. Well, I kept them in a closed container (a large trunk) and -------->> kept the lid closed on it. I was in a private college dorm room. That is the kicker, I kept them unventilated. DO NOT DO THIS! Mine rotted in about 4 days like this. I would suggest a drying method, here is a simple one: Get a spool of good string, and cut a good length to be supported at both ends (like a clothesline.) Slightly saw into the stem each shroom with the string and leave them hanging, cap down, for a few days. LET THEM BREATHE!!

By the way, why do you not want to dry them? You really don't lose any power by doing so, unless you do it with heat.------------------ Where is the lightning to lick you with its tongue? They can keep for about a week and a half if you stick em in the fridge.

DO NOT FREEZE fresh mushrooms. It will cause oxidation of the psilocybin thus rendering your fruit non psychoactive!!!!!!!!! Once they are thouroghly dried you can freeze them . Not while they are wet!!!!!!!!!!!!

Listen to OtherOne, and DO NOT PUT FRESH MUSHROOMS IN THE FREEZER!!! I don't know about this oxidation, but when I put a sack of fresh mushies in the freezer, they came out looking like a big gooey pile of black slush. Very bad idea. I personally store my fresh mushies in a tupperware in the cripser section of my refrigerator. They usually last about a week or so.------------------ Peace and Love, Baby!

Put them in a paper bag like when you buy mushrooms at the store, then put them in the fridge.
