Fear and Loathing in the Sevenfold
    #6713463 -

I used to really hate the song "Bat Country" by Avenged Sevenfold, didn't really care for the band either but now that I am aware of the connection between that song and Fear and Loathing is Las Vegas I think that it's a great song...  was anyone else unaware of this, I hadn't even picked up on the Dr. Johnson quote in the beginning for the longest time...  "He who makes a beast out of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man!"

The idea is still pretty badass... they don't seem to fit the psychedelic lifestyle though

Actually the music is pretty talented. I hated that song too when it came out but the solos are pretty good. They also have some good older songs too, the only thing I dislike no matter what is their vocals. They started out hardcore and now they are emo.

Anyway, listen to Unholy Confessions if you haven't. This song is played out for me, but some of you might enjoy it.

maybe, or maybe they do in their own way, without the patented "hippy-wear"

i listned to this song at the tail end of my one and only acid trip before i fell asleep, and in my opinion at least, fairly tainted from the experience, but i liked them before non the less, they are pretty legit. i think their stuff is pretty real for the most part. tripping doesnt have to be all flowers and pretty music, it can be hate and pain, which they show a lot.

Have you seen their videos?

Please.

I can't believe this is what passes for metal.

Their singer looks like an emo skater faggot, and sings like one.

A couple of guitar solos do not make a good band.

And how the fuck could anyone miss a Fear and Loathing reference in a song called "Bat Country"?

Fear and loathing in las vegas is an awsome movie crazy as hell...some of the shit in that movie was straight up crazy/insane shit. they got all sorts of twisted in that movie...could u imagine

"How do we know whether the life of any creature has fulfilled its destiny? I have known the very old to die in bitterness and despair. I have seen young children die before their time but leave behind such a legacy of love and joy that grief for their passing was tempered by the knowledge that their brief lives had given much to others."
"You have answered your own question,Tanis Half-Elven, far better than I could," the Forestmaster said gravely. "Say that that our lives are measured not by gain but by giving." -Dragonlance "Dragons of Autumn Twilight"

No human being truely knows their full capacity to love until they become a parent.

Serious question.. Does everything have to be "psychedelic" to fit your lifestyle?
