 i used to have that dvd, i traded it for chos roughly 2 yrs ago, that movie is stellar, shoulda held on to it.

my first high dose of mush, ego loss and all that, i was watching (well, trying to watch) fear & loathing, and my dvd got stuck and froze..i thought my mind had froze in one instant of time and i freaked out, ran outside, hoping that my mind would start moving forward again..which it did it was during the gary busey state trooper scene. ah man, it scared the shit out of me though

rumor has it they are adapting "the Rum Diaries" into a movie as well, again starring Johnny Depp as Hunter S Thompson. should be quite a good one!

I have only seen that movie once but i was stoned and drunk so I can't remember all the details, I need to go rent it again sometime...I just remeber them always being wasted all the time...

DOesnt mean it wont happen, but as I recall, Colonel Depp got involved with a few other projects at the time they were suppossed to work on the RUm Diaries... like Pirates of the Carribbean.

Yeah, they do have ideas in place for The Rum Diary, but ti's been in work since the book came out.
But cheer up, The movie of Fear And Loathing was in making for about 20 years before they finally got it done.
At one point Jack Nicholson was gonna star as Hunter.

yea, total recall got passed around for like 10 years, the script kept going back and forth, then finaly they made it, and it was the jam
first time i had watched fear and loathing i laughed my ass off so hard, i had never heard of it before then.... so i bought the dvd, but i dont watch it all that much, cause i like to keep it special, not over play it or anything... also, for me, it takes great commitment to watch that movie, you cant just pop it on, you have to be mentaly prepared.
havent seen it trippin yet, but i could only imagine how crazy it would be.
