I'm a emule fan. Been using edonkey/overnet/emule for over 5 years, and never had problems.

i would recommend uTorrent, used to use azureus, but it had memory leaks that would eventually fill up over 500MB of my ram, which is ridiculous. uTorrent is using 5MB on my comp right now, and im seeding some odd 50 torrents and downloading ~10

peace

Torrents are awesome but if you are looking for the "old" type of p2p program I have been using ares and it works pretty well.

most programs similar to limewire have a lot going against them nowadays. To start off with, one of the changes implemented way back in service pack 2 had the effect of really fucking up p2p programs by limiting their connections. That can be remedied, but it's inconvenient.

Secondly, the MPAA/RIAA have been spamming the living hell out of p2p communities, flooding them with corrupt files or things devoid of content in order to make it harder to find what you're looking for.

If you can get past those factors, though... then SoulSeek is a pretty good option.

Ares for single songs. Torrents for albums.

A combination of torrents and Morpheus cover just about all the bases for me.
