Casing-Will this work?

I just did my first casing today!Just a plain Vermiculite casing, using one cake.I didnt have distilled water available so I boiled some tap and let cool. Then I microwaved vermiculite with water. Mixed Vermiculite with more water for desired moisture level. Cased using a top and bottom layer. I sprayed the air with rubbing alchohol mixed water. several times during the process. Washing my hands, wearing gloves and washing gloves with alchohol. Spreaded evenly through pan and covered with vermic layer. Now do I put it in my incubator again? Or in a fruiting chamber? Does mycelium smell good? I found the smell of my jar very nice when cake was removed. Unique.If this casing doesnt work I will stick to cakes.Oh and how long after casing until actual mushies?Provided all conditions are met.Thankyou for anyone who may help.Do you think this will work?

everything sounds good....hopefully you let the casing layer cool before adding it but i think you did....and I think mycellium smells good....but it should smells like fresh mushrooms.....or a very "earthy" smell
