I always was a fan of DR strings. I love the sound they produce and I think they have a diff. look to them to so I don't mind shelling out $30 to re-string my bass.

And I thought $15 for the Elixirs was expensive.

How often do you restring your bass though?

I only use Elixers on my acoustic. The nanoweb lights sound way better then the polyweb.

It is expensive. Is it even worth it? How many hours of playing do they stand until they start sounding shitty? I've been wondering for some time now...

well it is a bass and I'm using "hand wound stings" I think it's about $15 for a guitar I forget I only re-strung my guitar once.

I don't re-string my instruments very often... only when I notice a change in: sound, look, or feel. But I know some people suggest changing them every month, or more if you play shows... screw that. Well maybe if I was paid to play I would.

I play about 40 minutes a day at least. I try to change them about once a month.

Recordings, hehe, not quite, I'm still a little selfconscious of my abilites. I can play anything in major chords pretty well, but my bar cords are still pretty sloppy.

This is the myspace page for jack, I play with him the most. Beats were made with FL (need to save for an MPC!)

I play a few hours a day. Usually I only have to change my strings once every couple months. They really do last longer than every other string I have used.

Huh, I always enjoyed D'addarios, how different are these Elixirs?
And are we talkin about their guitar strings or their guitar strings?

I really like the boomers myself though I've never tried elixir yet. I've been meaning to buy some though and give them a test run.

they're high quality acoustic guitar strings. they last longer and sound better imo. i used to use them but guitar center stopped selling them, apparently because elixer was selling so many that they wanted to raise the price on guitar center. so guitar center just dropped them.

i've been using DR's lately and they are about the same. if you play acoustic guitar you really should use elixers or DR's. the extra couple dollars is worth it.
