i use elixir strings on everything and restring them as soon as they start to sound dead. imo, there are 5 reasons strings break:

  • poor stringing technique
  • saddle
  • nut
  • burred fret or fret end
  • defective string


the first 4 any trained luthier or repair guy can take care of.
