Flaws and virtues
    #6450925 -

(some of my thoughts)

We strive for perfection, we want a perfect body (and the media preaches how it should be done), we want a perfect soul (religions preach of how this should be done)
Most of us are so lost in our supposed imperfections, never quite living up to the ideal we've set in our heads... that we forget just how perfect each and every one of us really is.
It's not just the sum of virtues that makes you perfect, it's the sum of virtues and flaws together.
It's like in the Matrix movies, there must be a flaw in order to create perfection.
When you don't allow yourself to make mistakes, you deny yourself of learning, of growing and of realizing that you do indeed make many mistakes along the way.
When you bring yourself down for your mistakes, you deny yourself that love for you that comes from YOU alone. Acknowledging these mistakes, and seeing them for what they really are is „facing the problem“, instead of running away. This is part of the growing process.
If there is no love in fear, then how can there be love in fearing your own mistakes? If you wear a stubborn mask of virtue, you send a false image to those around you and to yourself, resulting in just another mistake, shielding yourself from any help... it's a circle of deception.
Realize how beautiful and perfect you are, both your virtues and your flaws; be they mental, spiritual or physical make you – this perfect being that you are.
Don't wage a war against yourself.

peace

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you. A mistake can either become a great wave of destruction or a replenishing flood in the valley's of our soul. It is a truth which states that it is not so much what happens as it is to how we react, the effort far outweighs our defeat.

Flaws incite positive growth. Death and rebirth. Like a fire in a forest.
