Haven't we all learned that predicting the "future" is BS? The same exact thing will happen on that day that has happened on every other predicted day... nothing.

on that particular date, probably not a whole lot compared to the day before.

however over a time period, from let's say now to 2013, i would say a helluva lot is going to change on this planet. :mushroom2:

i really see this whole 2012 business as a gradual transition, a process, rather than an exact appointment which has already been scheduled.

a transition into what?

mind and matter are becoming one...

it's already been that way for hundreds of thousands of years on earth. we live in interesting times, but there's no reason to believe that the ancient mayans had anything to say about it. and there's certainly no reason to think they had a way to predict that one particular day in the far off future would be any more interesting than any other.

that is a great article which i am still in the midst of reading.

i think people often forget that our sun is not a stationary object in space, but that it too revolves around other stars, which too revolve around other systems, which all revolve around a galactic center.

the galaxy is a gigantic clockwork of cycles containing cycles containing cycles.

whatever space-time in our galactic system we are moving into now, i believe it only natural to expect that greater cycles do have an an effect on all lesser cycles within them, in this case that is the sun revolving around the galaxy, the planets revolving around the sun, and the cells revolving around the planet.. :mushroom2:
