Magick for beginers?
    #6377274 -

I bought a book called Magick by Aleister Crowley and I don't think it's really suitable for me though...
I want something more basic,
does anyone have any experience with magick and has it ever worked, i don't know if it's all a load of bullshit or not.....

Anyone know where i can get very basic spells or rituals?

You'll probably want to start out with candle magick, as those rituals are the simplest to perform. I don't have any specific book recommendations, but it should be easy to find one on the subject in any New Age bookstore.

First seek to understand the thelemic worldview, how the human being relates to the universe, before you endeavor to put into practice something you have no knowledge of. Information that was once occult is now largely available to anyone with eyes to see.

The Magician's Workbook by Don Tyson

an excellent introduction to practical personality dissection,
and ceremonial consciousness expansion...

Sexual Alchemy by Don Tyson

some astonishing secrets revealed...

The Middle Pillar by Israel Regardie

solid theory, and some very potent technique.

Gems from the Equinox by Aleister Crowley

i Will say what i truly intend to say about this book.

Tetragrammaton: The Secret To Evoking Angelic Powers and the Key to the Apocalypse by D. Tyson

an elegant and effective Reality Control System, using 12 Rings of Power.

Aleister Crowley and the Practice of the Magical Diary

John St. John is one of Crowley's most honest and inspiring works, imo.

Moonchild by the Beast. A novel, yes, but I feel that this book makes for an excellent start into the field of magick. It is most excellent in showing how magick is applied for both ominous and beneficial purposes(black vs. white), as well as shedding light upon several facets of the workings of the universe. Actually, by being a novel, it is not imposed by some of the limitations a technical book has, overplus is more congruous in it's excitement of the imagination.
When you feel that you are ready to undertake magick(well you already have, you just need to extend your horizon), fell free to go about it as you feel fit, but do'nt pussyfoot around. If you get into it, get into it! I'm not saying to start out with dangerous operations, rather, maintain a steady daily routine, learning as much as you can about it and using it to explore yourself. Discipline! I strongly recomend asana. I do feel that you should go about things as you please, but asanayoga will put you at war with yourself, proving that you have the grits to attain to higher realities, along with other benefits. Be sure to upkeep your ru-volvolimperipunct!!

also note.  that the practice of magick is not going to be how Hollywood portrays it. nor most occult in general.

these are just different systems of manipulation for you current 'reality'

one could even take Catholicism as a magickal system.....ceremony, prayer used to bend and essential prod to forceful control of your world inside and out.

its all the same in my eyes. some are more comfortable feeling for some that others.........

all very interesting stuff

All this time I've loved you
And never known your face
All this time I've missed you
And searched this human race
Here is true peace
Here my heart knows calm
Safe in your soul
Bathed in your sighs
