coolest magic wand EVER
    #5748005 - 06/14/06 12:16 AM (17 years, 7 months ago)

bought this off a Hindu at the mall:

coolest purchase I made this weekend.

As you can see, its made of rose quartz with a hexagon-tipped crystal on the bottom and a crystal egg on top.

running down the center in a chain are colored stones which represent the chakras.

I have meditated while holding this thing, and felt its power surging through my hand.

Each finger is associated with a different chakra, so this thing is great for finger magic. I haven't really fooled around with different finger combinations yet, but the default seems quite powerful.

They way I hold it is to put my themb on the blue stone, pointer on the light blue, middle on the green, ring on the yellow, and pinky on orange. The stones representing the haigher and lower selves are not touched in this, the center position. Moving the finger positions upward by one puts my thumb on the purple stone. This tends to make me extremely receptive to my higher self. Moving the positons downward so that my pinky rests on the orange stone tends to put me in greater touch with my lower nature.

If I hold the wand to my forehead with the top egg part touching my third eye, meditation becomes much stronger and more clear.

Anyways, I'm really happy with this thing, it was only $45 and seems to be a great tool for healing, divining, and realignment.

i hate to tell you this but, when you understand how to actually use a magic wand, that one wouldn't work.

it's pretty though, and i have a few that look like that.
but it's totally impractical as a wand.

and it proves the guy who sold it to you doesn't know anything about magic either, he's just doin' bizness, out of the mall right?

if you ever actually want to learn how to use a magic wand, i'll tell you about it.

a stick would work better than that thing, lol

you could use it as a component in a love spell maybe, lol

I am reminded of Death's Ahnk.

there was once a story of how Death becomes mortal for a day once every hundred years, kind of as a vacation.

Well, once when she was on this vacation, a man realized she was vulnerable and stole the Ahnk she wore around her neck.

He though he had stolen something powerful, but he had only stolen a symbol, a simulacrum.  Once the ahnk was separated from its owner, it lost all its power.

She replaced the ahnk with anothr she found at a flea market.  The new ahnk became charged with her energy and replaced the old one perfectly.

Anyway, the point is that real power comes from inside.  The objects we use are only tools.

You have no idea how many times people have stolen objects from me, thinking they have stolen some part of me or my power.   What fools they are!  They have stolen nothing, and in the attempt to steal from me, they have doomed themselves with a dark curse that will take a long time and a lot of self-sacrifice to break!  Anyone who steals what is mine is basically making themselves the Devil, and taking on a lot of bad karma for literally zero gain.

Another story I am reminded of is Morpheus's jewel.  Someone stole it and misused it.  When Morpheus came to reclaim the jewel, the thief smashed it on the ground, thinking this would hurt Morpheus.  Instead, it only made him stronger, for all the power he had stored in the jewel returned to its creator, Morpheus!

I have accquired many holy objects and symbols within my lifetime.  By wearing and holding these sacred objects, I am both drawing from and charging them with energy.  If anything, I am making the objects more powerful than they are making me!

When I die, I will leave behind some powerful talismans, such as the pendants and rings I wear, and the magickal tools I use.  I expect these objects will be fought over quite a bit, much like the Holy Grail.  But this is of course, silly, because my power resides within everyone, not in some material object.

i've used every kind of wand imaginable.

and i'll tell you what is best.

go to some guy who blows glass.

and just get a Lead Crystal dowel rod, about 3/4 inch thick
and 18-24 inches long

the ends need to be beveled, or with a butt, to make it less slippery

next you will get the thing wet with water, so it's slick

and you learn to spin it, flip and wave it around, it takes alot of practice, but once you get good at it, it's quite magical and amazing.

if anyone bothers to actually do this, i'll give you some other pointers on how the thing works.

wooden wands are good to practice with because if you drop it, it wont break.

and that is exactly why the glass rods are more powerful,
the delicacy of it, and so on....
the way it shines in the light, etc...

doctor j im worried for you
you seem to be wise and maybe ijust dont understand this "magic" but the bible says no sorcery. isnt this "magik" just giving you power? you should spend time praying and becoming allighned with the Universal power, then you will naturally gain power and the knowhow to use it wisely congruently instead of just searching for power. there are tons of yogis in india who do miracles and whatnot but they can use powers for their ego and you should be careful. check out babaji.net. im not saying im better or anything, but he says Truth Simplicity Love and Simple to me is God and being with god, simplicity is not chasing powers

white magic only works if it is beneficial and benevolent. Its basically just a more advanced form of prayer. White magic can only happen with God's blessing.

Most of the magic I practice comes straight from either the Hebrews or the Chinese. Both of these peoples are cool with both God and Jesus, so I don't see the problem in applying their knowledge as long as my actions are wise and my intentions are good.

I'm not trying to double-cross God with the rituals I practice. I'm trying to be his servant. My first and foremost assumption is that the success of my rituals depends entirely upon God's approval.

So basically, I'm just putting suggestions in God's suggestion box. You think God is so close-minded that he doesn't have a suggestion box? Well, he does. It just so happens that most requests don't get approved because they are either ill-concieved, badly intentioned, or improperly formatted.

Format is definitely important, and that is why I have spent a lot of time studying the protocol for proper communication with God. On this subject, I have read Chinese books, Hebrew books, Christian books, Hindu books, and many many other different varieties of spiritual knowledge and wisdom.

Am I chasing after power? Truth is, I have vastly more power than most people on this planet, to the point where I really don't need much more. What I would really like is for the people around me to be empowered and realigned with the Will of God.

So call me Robin Hood, man. Except I don't have to steal cuz I got a zerox machine for spiritual wealth. Hence, I'm only taking to give, which I believe is exactly what God wants me to do.

currently, yes. Although it has been quite some time since this was the case.

Actually, I think the last physical body I had was a dolphin. Thats why I hate being human so much, every time I think I get the impression there is something missing in my brain, like a third hemisphere or something.

Before that I was one of those little grey alien dudes. We didn't have sex, we had cloning machines. We didn't have mouths, we communicated telepathically. We built these really cool spaceships that could travel through time. But then we found out too much, and God had us whacked.

I was thinking about how you said "The Bible says 'no sorcery'"

Well, what is sorcery? I think the bible was talking about black magic, ie- spells that curse others rather than healing them. That kind of nonsense is most definitely prohibited by God, although I do believe his lieutenants allow it.

But how could the Bible be anti-magic? Jesus was a magician! Moses was a magician! Both were diviners as well!

Where does the Bible say 'no sorcery'? The old Testament? Do you follow all those rules? Do you eat in accordance with the Levitican dietary tables?

Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with practicing white magic so long as I know what I am doing. I have also practiced grey magic in the past, though I tend to stay away from both nuetrality and darkness and simply focus on positivity these days.

Interesting discussion. It seems it bit aimless to pick and choose what you like from different religions. I don't see anything wrong with studying multiple religions. But, picking and choosing, even within one religion is not really going to do much for your spiritual development.

if you seek God it doesn't matter which direction you go. i could give you tons of examples of hindu's studying christs word and christians who are very in love with christ and study hinduism. close minded people sometimes say "christ is the only path" and "my god is better". i recomend http://www.crystalclarity.com/yogananda/chap1.html this book
and Be Here Now and It's Here Now, Are You?.

first one is the "most" famous book in the west on YOGA
Be Here Now is Richard Alpert a jew who studied buddhism and hinduism
and It's Here is Bhagavan Das a westerner who grew up protestant i think, studied hinduism, buddhism, christ and for all of these authors its all ONE PATH just different names.

www.babaji.com is the babaji mentioned shortly..... NOW
"Babaji—for it was indeed he—motioned me to a seat near him under the tree. He was strong and young, and looked like Lahiri Mahasaya; yet the resemblance did not strike me, even though I had often heard of the extraordinary similarities in the appearance of the two masters. Babaji possesses a power by which he can prevent any specific thought from arising in a person's mind. Evidently the great guru wished me to be perfectly natural in his presence, not overawed by knowledge of his identity.

"'What do you think of the Kumbha Mela?'

"'I was greatly disappointed, sir.' I added hastily, 'Up until the time I met you. Somehow saints and this commotion don't seem to belong together.'

"'Child,' the master said, though apparently I was nearly twice his own age, 'for the faults of the many, judge not the whole. Everything on earth is of mixed character, like a mingling of sand and sugar. Be like the wise ant which seizes only the sugar, and leaves the sand untouched. Though many sadhus here still wander in delusion, yet the mela is blessed by a few men of God-realization.'

"In view of my own meeting with this exalted master, I quickly agreed with his observation.

"'Sir,' I commented, 'I have been thinking of the scientific men of the West, greater by far in intelligence than most people congregated here, living in distant Europe and America, professing different creeds, and ignorant of the real values of such melas as the present one. They are the men who could benefit greatly by meetings with India's masters. But, although high in intellectual attainments, many Westerners are wedded to rank materialism. Others, famous in science and philosophy, do not recognize the essential unity in religion. Their creeds serve as insurmountable barriers that threaten to separate them from us forever.'

He later wrote a book comparing Yoga texts at the bible
i could go on and on
the division is in your mind

it is possible, for sure, to be totally "learned" in lots of belief systems and still be ignorant. and there is value to picking something and "totally immersing" yourself in that, but i think it is possible to Tottaly do that Christ thing and Tottally be Hindu and still progress. even if you say Hail Mary in the morning and OM at night

I dont have a "magic wand"...but I do use stones, crystals, and other objects during meditation and such.

I carry my small Shiva Lingam with me all day, each day. Here's a not-so-small picture of what mine kinda looks like. It's small enough to hold in my palm:

I use Moqui Marbles somtimes,

they are a "curiosity" to me. They are very charged...VERY. Quite possibly the most "energetic" rocks/stones/minerals/crystals I've ever touched.

I'm glad there is a shop in town here that sells these things cheaper than ebay or the internet. I hate having to buy stuff from shady-dodgy websites. I like to feel the stone before I buy it...

Well, actually the shiva lingam is the "happy rock" according to several people I've let hold it.

Instantly when I say "here, hold this and lemme know how it feels..." they go, "DUDE! This the happy rock! Hahaha!"

I try and charge it up with pure positive emotions...It's crystaline-quartz so it can absorb quite a bit of energy for it's size and hold it quite well...

The moqui marbles are sandstone balls coated with iron ore. They are very, very bizare.

I have two small ones, the size of those metal asian balls for meditating. If I twirl them around in one hand I can feel my hand tingle instantly, and soon after I start to feel "wheels" of energy in my lower stomach and groin area.

If you clack them together a very intense "yay!" or excited energy can be felt. It's as if these things LIKE to be clacked together. Very positive but strange rocks...I use quite a bit of natrual quartz though for my regular energy work. I used to wear a huge rough citrine chunk on a hemp cord...thats a great gem to start with!

even if its just an ornament, it was worth $45

I mean, it looks cool, and I like the effect it has on my meditation.

besides, I already have a sword, cup, and pentacle

this was the last piece of the equation.

It matters not what, where, or "when" an object we use in ritual came from--but rather the meaning and feeling we have when using it.

These are just "tools" that help one's mind do what it already CAN do...we as humans somtimes just need pretty, old, or sentimental objects to help us jive to the cosmic giggle...

So to the guy that claims this wand won't work--of course it'll work...if the user wants/belives it'll work  It's like casting the tarot or other divinatory arts...the answers are and always were inside of you.

The wand you have is definitely workable, it's just that it appears that the ergonomics suck.  Since you already feel it's "presence", that could be a good thing(although you are using it in a way completely different from how I use mine).  You consecrated it, right???  Well, all in all I do like that wand you have there.
I really hate some of the remarks posted earlier by some people(including the original poster), but I'm going to keep my fingers shut as I have my dailies ahead of me and I do'nt want to get all worked up over a little post.
My wand?  Well, I had been searching the local woods for a while to find something suitable to no avail.  One day, I was sitting at my computer, looked to my left and a huge stick was there to my amazement.  I had remembered that it was my cherished walking stick(found, not bought) from at least 10 years prior.  The bottom part was just the right thickness(I like my wand's thick!! phallic pun unintentional) so I cut it in the proper spot and wallah!!  I then added a little staining and branded a personal sigil on the end.  For the consecration, I did some banishing, marked Shin on it using the holy water, then invoked Kabeshunt.  A few quotations from the great book(certainly not the bible), and there you have it!

I used to have a walking stick that I miss terribly.

It was a wooden stick I got from a shop in Florida. It had kind of an easter island face at the top, with grooves for the fingers.

don't know where it is now. Not that it has any power, it was just cool.

I practice rainbow magic. I don't know if it even really exists beyond myself...but I call it "rainbow" magic because it includes the light, dark, and all of the spectrum in between.

You can't have white without black ... duality needs to be understood

MystikMushroom
We need more of what we call grey magick, grey macgick is something you do to gain something of value or something you like very very much. Thats the stuff all serious practitioners should learn

haven't done the pentagrams in a while

replaced it with merkaba a few years ago,

but now I don't really do that very often either

these days I usually use the tube torus

not a big fan of rituals as it is

more on the mystic, open-ended meditation side now.
