They are definitely up and fruiting now, not in full force but they're up. Time to go check my other patches and the atlantis patch. Also going to check on my new species patch and see if anything new has come up.
A few of these weilii were quite interesting, very unique nipples almost like a hoogshagenii(sp??) Especially the one on the leaf pictured below, very pronounced umbo/nipple. Check em out....

Nice work LK...Georgia seems like the perfect climate for the mighty magic...still a little on the chilly side up north...just waiting for the right weather to go find me some mushies...cheers again

Damn man, thats crazy. I've decided that I am going to find weilii this summer if its the last thing I do. I think I'm gonna head out to the L'ville/Liburn area around the yellow river to look.
Peace out, -Gumby

Damn!!! Nice pics and nice shrooms. Any prints available? I'd love to throw a few of those around here. I've only gotten the bohemica, cyans, and azures around here. Keep us posted on that new species too, very interesting and exciting

I too have the same goal...been looking heavily for about 2 weeks since the heavy rain started here in the Stone Mtn. area. The toughest part for me is the seemingly varied color P. weili can be. Some pics on this forum they are distinctly two tone (light brown and chestnut), others they are nearly completely deep brown/black. Furthermore, some seem to bruise the obvious blue in the pics, and then others are just straight black.
Frustrating, but fun...

It tells you every time you try to reply to a thread older an 30 (or is it 90?) days old. Be sure to look out for that next time.
