Ive had the opportunity to pick wild weilii's twice
And both times i ate them fresh,
Also both times i brought some back home to try them a few times dried.
Weilii ain't no joke.
Last visit i consumed 4 medium sized fresh weilii.
I could image slipping off into the deep end of the shroom pool,
With 6-8 of the same mushrooms.
I would estimate their potency at about twice that of Psilocybe mexicana scelerotia.
I use mexicana scelerotia for this comparison,
Because weilii fruits and mexicana scelerotia have a similar taste.
But, weilii is a bomb tasting shroom.
Especially when eating them fresh...the taste lingers for a few days.
And also, the trip seems to last longer than just 6-7 hours.
I'm talking more like 48 hours for those mushrooms to start wearing off.
They are not an easy mushroom to hunt.
The caps are usually black or brown,
The mushrooms like to hide under the leaves,
Plain and simple, those things use their camoflauge to hide.
I'd be kneeling down scanning the ground for them,
And i would find about 3 or 4 caps total,
While the lizard king would spot dozens.
The black caps are frosted with tastey white mycelium.
And the size and weight is nearly identical to Cubensis.
Then there is also a lawn variety of weilii...
C'mon folks, now thats just silly.
These are the azurescens of the south,
With the stature of P. cearalescens.

Come on now, thats 2 days. I doubt any kind of mushrooms is going to make you trip for 2 days

Sorry LK but youre not the only one who has spotted Mr. Weilii in the wild, in fact, he's running rampid since the last hurricane from what i hear. A foaf can get prints for anyone interested. Pictures in the near future. peace....

Whats your point? Cool, I'm glad you friend found weilii and can supply prints, sounds great  I never said I was the only one picking weilii or printing them. I have been picking them for 4 years now and was one of the first 4 or so people to find it, but I know thats not the case anymore, lots of folks have been finding them this year and thats great.

BTW: what part of GA did your buddy find them in, you don't have to be specific I'm just trying to map the range of Ps. weilii.
