Outside of Atlanta Georgia, June 19th, 2001.
What an amazing adventure it was to pick these for the first time. Above is the very first weilii I got to see.
Another one.. just look at those dark dark black/brown/almost olive colored..strange colored caps indeed. :)
Also notice the green leaves of the baby Sweet-Gum trees..
These mushrooms really seemed to blend in very good with their surroundings, for my eyes at least.
The damage on top of the cap here is a hole eaten through by a slug. -We observed these same slugs on several of the shrooms collected this day.
Can you believe these things?

These mushrooms are completely out of this world.
Unbelieveable shrooms if you ask me. Hands down.
I'll have to side with the Lizard King with saying that these are the American Landslide.

The Lizard King shot this pic off with my digital cam. Yup.
Misquitos kinda like hanging out in the Sweet-Gums. I found that out real quick..
This one, growing at the very base of a small Sweet-Gum.
-The dirt that these grow is a very rich Red-Clay.
And finally, above we have pictured the very first weilii I ate. I ate this mushroom and only one more of identical size.
-Lizard mentioned that neither he or any of his cohorts have consumed them fresh (only dried). Well I tripped off of the two I ate, yes indeed i did.
--They also mentioned to me that they have observed P. weilii's to be a "long-lasting" mushrooming experience. I think they were right. -Cause after picking these in Georgia, I headed up to Chicago to visit some friends, and felt the Psilocin easeing my soul for several days after eating the two.
-I brought about a dozen weilii's with me for safe keepings, it made for... 4 free trips. One of those four extra doses was a second weilii for myself.
These things rawk. heheh:)

they look so rugged. i gave my frind an ounce of dried pans today, he ate about a handfull then barfed up shrooms, then pizza, then apparently rum, and finally stomache acid.
I FEEL LIKE SHIT that he had to go through that. if they had been a nice potent shroom like weilii it wouldnt have happened. probably also wouldnt have happened if he was better rested and completely sober. these guys smell like cat piss and taste equally disgusting. ive felt nauseus before from them. but never vomitted like that. i diddnt expect it to happen but it did. all i could do was apoligize and clean up the mess. i cant immagine how i will live this down. :(

awesome pictures..those things do look rather rugged..i take it that they like the sweet gum trees a lot?

I have the tendancy to get queazy when I see someone chuck aswell. On Saturday I decided to trip with my good friend who isnt really experienced with shrooms so I stole the last shooms in the bush that were growing on a log about 5 small semi-formed mushrooms. We went up to some units near by to wash them down I ate mine first woth no worry,but my friend kept on gagging on them so I told him to chomp them with water in his mouth and he got one shroom down. Then he felt ready to do the next one so he threw it down then a second later he dry reached twice then spewed up his breakfast and the shrooms inside, the second shroom was in perfect shape cause he tried swollowing it whole. I felt sick after that so we had a couple o cones then everything was bliss.

I definitely agree GG. Those are some beautifully, strange looking mushrooms. That last pic, of the one your getting ready to try,that looks like a very potent mushroom.Just look at the color! That's amazing!

The "American lanslide mushroom", I like it :)
Those were the last weilii picked this year, they stopped coming up a few days after GG left. They are some potent littl;e mushrooms for sure. Just look at that last pic, you can tell better in person, but it has a very dark blue tint to the entire cap, sometimes the caps are green colored too. They just scream psilocybin activity :)

Yes sir. They Glow all different colors..
Another thing, is that there is a certain point in weilii's stage of growth when the gills are actually White. Barely even off-white. I mean White-White. :) lol !?
The taste of those two fresh shrooms stuck with me for a few days :)

Hey sorry here in Australia we call "bowls" cones , like from a cone piece that fits into the bong. Me and me mates call joints, Jays or ifsplays "code word for spliff".

I know, the white gills threw me off the first time I found them. The gills turn purpple with age, but still keep a white edge on the gills that is very distinctive. There is also a point in which the cap will become a white/tan, like one of your above pictures show. This is especially true for the variety that grows on lawns in the fall of the year, they fade to a tan/white quickly and blend in well with the other dozen or so species of white lawn mushrooms. Weilii is a strongly hygrophanous mushroom, and can display all sorts of colors, from black, green, bluish, white and every shade of brown there is, and when wet, sometimes it can be an orangish color.

I'm making a wish. OK...............now I've made it, so I can tell.
I'm wishing for Ps. Weilli to someday appear on my dinner plate. I'm not being too awful demanding. Just wishing that SOMEDAY the Ps. Weilii will appear on my dinner table.
Not too much to wish for? I hope not.
