ive searched canadiantire today, and came up with nothing.

does anyone know where i can find naphtha and/or lye in Canada?
What brand should i be looking for?

Oh ok. Actually, i've located something that apparently leaves no residue. Hexane or rubber cement thinner, if anyone else is interested.

look for caustic soda from homebrew suppliers. It is the same as lye

I think the homebrew stuff is as well. It is pure white. It may be cheaper that way though but I'm not sure.
I used to work at a Brewery and we had it there to clean the tanks. We couldnt have any contamination at all or the beer would spoil. I also worked at a water bottling plant that also used it. I used to get to grab some for home use.
