I would like to grow salvia. Some ?s

I am considering growing salvia. Is this something I can grow like a regular house plant, or will it need special conditions? Can somebody give me the basic rundown of what's involved in caring for the plant?

Shit... I remeber seeing pictures of it in this special humidity greenhouse... like it needs moisture... and wet leaves? I saw some pics in a thread by ... salvia_england or someone ... if you don't grow in high humidity the leaves are ... leather like? I don't remeber.

Maybe erowid.org might have some info, or just run a search for the formentioned thread... in either case, the internet is a wealth of information... I'm sure you'll find something.

Erowid had one decent article and the threads here gave me a vaugue conception, but I'm still not getting it so I was hoping somebody could spell it out for me in an easy to understand manner.

I know the temperature of my house is good, and it gets pretty humid upstairs in the summer time. With some misting should that be enough? Is sunlight through the window sufficent or do I absolutly need to get some lights?

It doesn?t need any special treatment or humidity. It likes partial sun and moist, acidic soil.

I also have a ?

I live in the desert. Will it do ok out here or should you make it more humid because it is really dry out hear.

My salvia did better outdoors, Im not sure if it was the sunlight or the extra humidity (I was using a 400w MH indoors).
