Sometimes I think that the quest to find the 'true' self is only an illusion to keep digging deeper into your collective unconscious.  Underneath all the delusions and garbage we've polluted our minds with, whether it be society, fashion, crime, tragedy, greed, lust -- I think we're all the same innocent child spirits just searching for a place to finally rest.

If by 'being one', you mean being emotionally self-sufficient and open to the beauty of the world and are at peace and calm, then yes, I am at once with myself. But my life does not end here. There is always something new to be discovered in life, in nature, in others, and in turn, you'll find that in yourself. The world is big and vast and filled with opportunity. I find "myself" everywhere I go. I can see myself in people, in things, in cultures. The world is a truly beautiful and remarkable place.

Probably went off topic. But it was just a thought for the moment.

That's just it, when you're happy for no reason people start to think there's something wrong. When I look at people they have reasons to smile, they're having a conversation, or listening to music, or just doing or having something provide pleasure for them. There's just not many good reasons to walk down the street grinning, unless you're on drugs or you've gone crazy.

Nice story

I'm a Taxi driver right. One night I was close to knocking off and I parked on the side of the road for a quick pipe and to read a book.

Next thing I know two police cars pull up behind me and just sit there with their lights on. I'm thinking this is incredibly weird, paranoid, the lot. Why just sit there and not get out of the car?

Finally I get the courage to get out and walk over. Just as I get out of the car I realise i'm parked outside a police station and i'm in their parking spot. DOH! (slaps forehead)

They were cool though and said they didn't care if I parked there. But yeah I didn't stick around.
