Terrarium Trouble
    #623606 -

I constructed my terrarium based on the specifications of the ultra sonic humidifier method in the "Magic Mushroom Growers Guide" from the vaults of erowids, and came really close to my first success. My cakes colonized fine, and they even started developing pins in the terrarium. The problem is the vinyl tubing connecting my two liter bottles, the terrarium, and the humidifier gets clogged with condensing water CONSTANTLY, like every 2 hours. Any efforts i have made to stop this only led to a small amount of extra time without being clogged. If anyone has had similar clogging experiences i would really very much appreciate some advice. Thanks

Did you bevel (Slice at 45degree angles) the tubes that are going into the 2 liter bottles...

I agree, cut all the ends at an angle, and make sure there are no sags in the tubing. You need it to hump up in the middle so that any condensation runs and drips into the bottles, the terr, or the humidifier.
Hope that helps.:peace:

The shrewmen constructed the same terrarium, and had the same problem. Bevel the edges and make sure the tubing is higher than the bottles so the water drains. Good advice, but they still had problems. Their advise? Put your cakes in rubbermaids with damp perlite. You can always try the terrarium without cakes to see if you can control it. Until then, you won't waste any cakes, because perlite works great!
