I'm a relatively new grower, had one other failed attempt with an aquarium setup. Has anyone had any sucess with the Poor Man's Terrarium? (I'm beyond poor). And does anyone have any tips concerning it?

hey brother, poor mans terrarium works great... also try the ZIPLOCKBAG tek... i dont know who wrote it but it also works... i've used all of these methods in the past... but the thing is brother... i did not use cakes ... i just cased in my "terrariums" or i should say cased my terrariums not cased IN my terrariums... it works great...i also have friends that have had great successes with them... using them as i said (as a casing container not a terrarium perse) ... all 3 of the layers in the casing do a great job at keeping humidity up in the bottles/bags thru the life of the mycelium... so basicly there is almost no misting...good luck ...

The PMT works great. I put a cake in there a week ago, and even forgot about it so I didn't air it out. A week later I came back, numerous tiny shrooms are coverin the thing. If you insist on airing it out however, don't bother with a coke bottle, they're a pain in the ass. Get some tupperware for like $4. May cost more, but it is easier to work with, and they're easier to reuse. Still, the bottle works just as well.
