This has prob been posted before but ive only just seen it. Its like goggle earth but its got little mushrooms at locations where people have found mushrooms. Hope it helps some people

I noticed cops on bicycles last weekend when I was hunting in the middle of nowhere on the Yorkshire Moors! Prime Lib country but I wasn't worried as I was searching for gourmet. Zero crime in that area, it was pretty obvious what they were up to  :crazy:

looks to me like people put up locations purposely to throw people off the path..everywhere BUT the right places

If you scroll down to the bottom of the 'welcome screen' window theres a big button that says 'close.'

Ah, I've seen this site discussed before. From what I recall it contains a bunch of errors that were pointed out by people here. I wouldn't rely on it as a very accurate source. Personally I haven't looked it over.

This week (in houston), it seems everywhere I go there are shrooms popped up. I see them at the horse boarding places on the way to work, in teh ditch, at the local disk golf course, in the flowerbeds at work... If only all shrooms were cubes..

yeah, there's all sorts of possibilties for abuse with this. Most people are very protective of their spots, and that's for edibles like chanterelles. It's the same thing with this too. If they did, they can kiss it goodbye. I remember seeing some commercial pickers forums out of Oregon..sleazy, slimy, dirty tricks from both pickers and buyers, and that's just for choice edibles.

yeqah, you'd think this would have been done a long time ago for Boletes and Chanterelles and truffles....no I don't think so...hehe

People do indeed make a living off this. I've met them in the past. I've done it myself in oregon too, about 20 years ago, long before this stuff was up

Guess how long before that's all cleaned out?

remember the people who got busted last year near Santa Barbara for picking chanterelles?...they had a GPS system too and had marked all their spots, except that was on private land (they were raiding private ranches)...It appears many of the places on this Google Earth, Shroomr.com is also on private land...No wait...ALL of the spots in San Francisco are on private land :P

I dunno, maybe you can chalk this up to 'it seemed like a good idea at the time'
