2 jars colonized without PC... Hell Yeah

Today is a good day. My buddy now has about 1/4 way through colonization on 2 1/2 pint cakes. He just brang some water to a boil in a pot and put down a colander and put his 2 jars in the pot and left em for 45 minutes. The next day he innoculated the jars with a spore that he made in unsterile conditions from a cap that he grew in a casing... Pure luck.. gotta love it... He's still deciding how he's going to use his cakes.. I think he's planning on casing them... maybe even growing an outdoor plot...

I got about 90% success without a PC. With a PC I get 100%. With sterile innoculation techs and proper sterilization you too can get 100% success. Growing mushrooms isn't extreamly necessary on sterile condition as long as you dont have a lot of moldy food sitting around.

You haven't seen his room.. There's enough moldy food lying around to feed half the Afghani's .... But he was careful... Cleaned first. The paper that he used wasn't even sterile.. It had been sitting out in the open at my house until I gave it to him. He's planning on getting himself a good pressure cooker real soon. His old lady needs one anyway... She's big into cookin veggies... don't ask...
