casing with a wick system?

Hi,
I'm looking for information about casing with a wick system to hydrate the layer.
Does anyone know a link or use this method?

3:Casing Layer
2:Colonized Substrate
1:Moist Vermiculite

You should let your vermiculite be as moist as possible without really dripping when squeezed. As far as keeping the casing wet put it into a terrarium with 99% humidity.

This is a very controversial method though. Many people have expieranced contamination because of not being able to see it earlier(cause the vermiculaite is on the bottem) The pros though are that it provides somewhere for the access mostiure to pour through onto the vermiculite.
