During low dose trips (Level 1-3) music is a necessity for me to have a pleasant trip. But during my Level 4/5 trips I pretty much forgot about it.

mescaline is pretty amazing for music as well. everything sounds fuller, more...alive, I guess. it's pretty awesome.

I think it also depends on what exactly you are exposed to in this state of mind. I don't think all music is good for these occasions...

Most people probably would not enjoy listening to Will Smith rap while having such a wonderful experience, or even sober for that matter. If you like music, there are plenty of good tunes to listen to. (I mean no disrespect to Will Smith or his listeners...)

Music is great when tripping... the only bad thing is that you may forget that you have a speaker/mp3 player on. Personally, I have put it on in the past and been so spaced out that I'd wonder if this wonderful music was coming from my head. It sounds so clear too.
