Pink Floyd is great. One that I haven't seen mentioned is Kai Tracid. It is some of the best techno I've heard. I haven't seen the CD in the US. It is more popular in Europe. If you know anything about getting MP3's.. they are fairly easy to find. I downloaded the whole CD. Trust me... give it a try.------------------ Oddities: There is no such thing as size, only proportionalities created by the brain.

My all-time favorite is Sublime. My sister went to high school with Brad Nowell before he was in Sublime he was in some dirty garage band that used to play at a shitload of the parties my sister went to. I'm also a fan of 311, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Jim Morrison.. Now some of you are gonna think i'm a little weird but I also love the music of Marilyn Manson too.. I dont exactly believe in everything he does, but I am pretty much against religion. I also like Nine Inch Nails and this Europpean christian-goth band called Godflesh. just my 2 cents. -peace

The first concert I ever went to was a Moody Blues concert.. the poems from on the threshold of a dream.. they are incredable while fully sober... beatles - who doesnt? what i heard as a child moody blues - what I heard as a child.. pink floyd - without a doubt phillip glass, Kundun (an incredable movie as well) Kitaro Kojiki - japanese, very happy and creative carl orff - carmina burana !!! my fav.. not for everyone though and of course a great selection of trance and other electronic music is great..

My nephew recently turned this old man on to Chemical brothers and crystal method. I must say they are the shit. What other bands produce this type of sound? Its the best thing since floyd imo.------------------ Kneel down and worship the mighty Oolar, or if your a chick show your tits.

yep, Meat beat manifesto (the absolute master and founder of the whole style imo), Fatboyslim (his earlier stuff anyway, like 'better living through chemistry), Bentley rhythem ace, Prodigy, Orbital (only their latest album) Mekon, and many many more nowadays, but im not really that much into the style anymore. Check out labels such as Skint, Wall of sound and Pussyfoot. The genre is called bigbeat or chemical beats.

I agree with MANY of the selections I've seen thus far, but I didn't see the absolute master of crazy music listed anywhere. If you ever have the chance to fry balls and listen to Keoki's Ego Trip album or Inevitable Alien Nation, you MUST take it. I promise you'll like the music. It's some crazy fucking shit.

I know everyone has a "beef" with Scott Weiland and STP but a real cool cd to trip to is '12 Bar Blues' by Scott Weiland. It wasn't sucessful commercially but it goes good with drugs! 'Tiny Music' by STP also has a cool retro texture that also sounds cool when in altered states. Though i admit i was dissapointed with 'No. 4'. Another lost side project is 'Mad Season'with Layne Staley(Alice In Chains) and Mike McCready(Pearl Jam) it has a nice flow.
