Okay tomorrow after school I am doing shrooms for the first time.. actually its my first time doing ANYTHING. so i'm like a BIG virgin when it comes to drugs and the like. i am doing 'em with my friend who has done shrooms (among other things) many times before and also like 2 other people who haven't. What tips do you have for a beginner like me, and how can I make my first trip a good/memorable one?

you definitely need to do some reading for yourself... the shroomery has some very useful and interesting pages giving tips and instructions for first timers like yourself. the best thing to do is do the research yourself and know what you're getting into. i also think that reading a lot of trip reports is very helpful... it can give you ideas for things you want to do or not do when you trip, and it can let you know (somewhat) what to expect. good luck and be safe!

Don't be impatient and do not wait for the effects to appear.
Just relax and try to be as confortable as possible. You'll know when you'll be high.
Do not eat before : your stomach will appreciate and you'll have a stronger trip.
Again, relax, and prepare something to drink during the trip + some music you like.
Avoid any contact with reality (telephone, people not tripping around you, etc...)

Have happy music around. That is the one thing that has saved me. Phish is good, as is a lot of ska, bluegrass, or even just instrumental stuff. Bela Fleck and Victor Wooten are both great. Kinda not my thing normally bu twhen trippin really puts you at ease.

Shrooms were my first drug as well, and i came here before taking them too, of course that was sometime ago and countless trips later advice i can give is just go with whatever happens, none of it is real and in time you will be sober and "normal" again
That being said silly putty and a black light go a long way too!

Ya bro defintely read all the info you can get into your head from the shroomery before you dose. Also if this is you very first time on any drug then talk to your friends etc... about their experiences also maybe try to get some valium or xanax if you can just in case you start to bug out. make sure you an friends that are tripping are in a place you can all be as loud as possible without getting in trouble or noticed by people not tripping, uhm also have lots of good music to play like Bob Marley, techno anything basically relaxing also bring your favorite type to listen too as well music sounds awsome on shrooms. maybe even a movie to watch something funny though seeing anything scary or violent will scare the shit out of you an probaly cause you not to trip ever again . Besides that remember everything that you see an hear plus experience will only last for 5-6 hrs. an you will be ok after all. depending on your dosage ect... you will probaly notice sleepiness and a drunkness feeling for the first hr or so that will pass an you will feel energy an a good vibe soon after. Well hope you have a very awsome shroomy night with your friends Peace out!!!!
