My frustration Aimed at what I've created Has me feeling Discombobulated I hated the bordom so I reinstated entertainment for my well being now I'm seeing I made the wrong decision My project had appeared easy But had no direction and precision Beginners Luck Only until recent times I feel stuck I'm the only one to blame for things that ran amuck I built up a universe That is is now building me you see technological advancement is the creator now and all things to be decided will have never once touched my hands my quote unquote followers now constantly fill the stands On the so-called Sabbath day for years it's been this way but these people can't figure out whether it's the first or last day to pray They seem to think that I'm forgiving them all Which means they have a scape goat if they happen to drop the ball I've been coined various names None of which to me are flattering they look to me for a guidance but to me they do not matter in my eyes there's nothing I can do to help this situation when they have internal conflicts with their whole congregation they gather every week and speak of me in song these beings I created in this project gone terribly wrong You all claim that you know me But you really don't Ever-forgiving you say of me But in reality I really won't From the day I gave you life to your last anointment you have all been nothing but Divine Disappointment. So now I'm stuck to figure out what I should do in this point in time These creatures think that there is an afterlife So they spend their entire life benign They killed that other creature That claimed to be my son So now they mobilized after him And claim that he's the one The one that will save them and lead them to a new breath I hate to break it to them: "I have nothing for you after death" You think that every bad thing that happens to you is at my will Like bankruptcy, Aldultery and the reason why others kill Go on and be mislead because you have your entire life To think that somehow I'll reward you For all your pain and strife I can't control destiny where did you come up with that notion? There is no cure for AIDS So don't even bother with that potion I didn't create the disease to punish others I didn't even make it So if you have that frame of mind you can go ahead and break it I'm sick and tired of feeling responsibility for all you ungratefuls Unwilling to share with starving While you enjoy it by the platefuls Even if I had the power to help you I wouldn't even bother So stop thinking that I love you and stop calling me your Father I didn't plan on you evolving into this mess with which I deal. Asking for my Forgivness when you lie cheat and steal What the hell do you want me to do? Try to save yourself I can't help your marriage, children, or status of health My problems far away Any of these so-called devistations Like this oncoming war between these so-called United Nations I regret making all of you You make my blood pressure climb I wish I didn't make you But even I can't turn back the hands of time You all claim that you know me But you really don't Ever-forgiving you say of me But in reality I really won't From the day I gave you life to your last anointment you have all been nothing but Divine Disappointment. -God

Tannis he's refering to the song I posted. I didn't write that. I wish I could take credit but I can't. Its written by a group called Anticon. You you wanna hear some of the best hip-hop in the world go buy Anticon - "Music for the Advancement of Hip-Hop". The album title is kind of pretensious but believe me they live up to it. This particular song is prehaps the best hip-hop track I've ever heard. emptyvessel, I'm glad that someone knows this song. I only know Sixtoo from the Anticon discs. I don't think I've heard of Josh Martinez before. What stuff by him do you recommend? I might be going to see Blackalicious and Talib Kweli next weekend. You into them at all?

Trent Reznor, is that you? do you actually have any idea how many people are going through this phase and more importantly how many finally rise above it when they realize that the only one punishing them is themselves. lets use logic here, if all that thinking in your head isn't going the way you wan't it too, not bringing you closer to God then what would be the next logical step, maybe too just shut that mind off and listen. oh by the way, sometimes if you start to ponder if you are actually from the dark side, then that means you are. oh ya every word everyone says is true, you must blindly follow others to reach your spiritual goals.surrender to your ego and go back to where you came from, " The Dark Side ". in case you didn't catch the sarcasm here, think for yourself, become an observer, not a sheep in a heard for then you will obtain the complete picture, hey man i wen't through it too.

"do you actually have any idea how many people are going through this phase and more importantly how many finally rise above it when they realize that the only one punishing them is themselves." Well, if you really read the lyrics that is more or less what this song is all about. God isn't responsible for our misery, we are. No offense but the rest of your reply kind of seems like "holier than thou" religious dogma to me. I'm not even sure what exactly you were trying to say. Its just a song, you know, an expression of emotions?! There is whole lot of truth in these words though. I'm wondering what exactly about the song you are objecting to. i think you misunderstood it. Whats all this talk about being a sheep and free thought? I don't know if I can find a better example of free thought than this song! If anything blindly believeing in a God that doesn't exist or care is more towards being a sheep. BTW I don't know if you read the rest of the thread but I didn't write this song.
