Help me complete my music studio

Alright, I've never had my own music studio set up before. But I just invested a few thousand dollars so far in equipment and software and want some ideas for what else I could lavish my money on. Here is what I have so far.
MacBook Pro 2.0 ghz duo core 1 gb ram 80 gig hard drive, super drive 128 mb vram 120 GB USB hard drive eKeystation 49e Wireless Mighty Mouse Digital Performer 5.1 Reason 3.0.1
Things I still need to get: A good handheld audio recorder to make easy field recordings. A good mic to record singing and speaking and, ideally instruments. Good professional quality headphones for monitoring. Tomas Haake's Drum Kit from hell Good quality speakers, such that I could perform with them if need be.
Things I want in my dreams: I want a bass with MIDI hook ups so I can run it through digital performer and automate and carefully sculpt all the effects and distortions and things within a framework that's condusive to improvision as well. Electronic Drum pads and the brains to be able to program them.
I thought someone more experienced with music studio equipment could see if I'm forgetting anything or has anything good to recommend. I want to handle all the recording and mixing with my macbook pro so I don't think I'll need mixing boards and crap like that. I don't want to spend tens of thousands of dollars, but I have no problem dropping a couple more thousand to get everything I need.

let me give you some tips here.....
1) I see no pre-amps. Preamps are probably the most important step in audio recording, as are A/D and D/A converters. Even if you have some MOTU or 8-channel input for reason or whatever, it is still probably shit. You don't need to go out and buy 8 preamps, but buy 2 really good preamps. 2) MIDI is teh poo. 3)Maybe I am biased because I am informally sponsored by Shure, but Shure microphones are the best for almost any application. Also, stay away from AT's, people here might disagree with me, but the only AT's worth a shit are not consumer grade, meaning they are extremely expensive, and still those only sound as good as your average Shure or Sennheiser mic.
***on a side note, all too often I see people making these home studios and try to create one from really limited knowledge; knowledge which can only come from experience of practical application.
Even if you have the money, don't start sinking it into things you "think" you will need. Start a project with what you have, and once you get into real world application of your gear, you will find its limitations and really know what you are looking for.... otherwise all it takes is a salesman with some flashy words to sell you something that you will have absolutely no use for, but sounded nice.
people often like to disagree with me regarding studio stuff, but im willing to bet I am the only shroomerite with a recording degree and 5 years of experience in live sound, recorded audio, broadcast (radio) and television.

Go with a Shure Beta 87A mic. I really havent heard a better mic for home recording or live performances. Its crystal clear.

aaron is right. It is the only mic I use for male vocals at all the venues I work at. The entire Beta series is amazing for the price. The beta 52 has already replaced the long time industry standard AKG D112 for Kick mic.
