There is some really good anime from japan.

These are the best imo

Elfen Lied, Gantz, Berserk, Bleach, Full Metal Panic!, GunGrave, Hellsing, Cowboy Bebop

You need to check out the first 5 if you havent heard of them, they are really good. I think you can find some on youtube.

Sakura Diaries is my favorite. My friend watched one episode at like midnight, and I watched both of the dvd's he had (12 total episodes) straight. I got addicted. I need to watch it again.

I suggest you go watch it now.. go

And FMA of course. Yet just this last season was not as good as the first. But eh, it was still pretty good.

Have to recommend Narutaru, Bokurano, Now and Then, Here and There, Evangelion, and Paranoia Agent

The best part is most of these series are appealing because fucked up things happen to CHILDREN!!!!

BAA: Anime, no clue, but the manga is consistantly entertaining, especially if you're into gore and cyborg fan service, and best of all, kids die!

Evangelion: Entertaining, but be warned, the psychobabble toward the end is nothing more than the ranting of the creator, and KIDS DIE!!

I will also recommend Pom Poko which is a walt disney movie from japan about shape shifting racoons. Its really good and hilarious, especially the red rug scene.

Also gozu is starting on the movie channel, extra, in 5 minutes.

I've only seen one episode of FMA and i was on either bromo dragonfly or a DOx. The show was really fucking weird, not sure if it was the drugs or the show. FMA never really interested me though. I think The Alchemist ruined my enjoyment of anything to do with alchemists.

Im a sucker for Dragonball Z, been watching since i was 7. And yes I got the whole series on dvd so far...their making more.
But I also like Akira, Trigun, Vampire Hunter D, and the Hack series was alright.
