If I have about 4 quarter sized shrooms, how many 1/2 pint jars could i colonize with thees much sporulatory funktion?

first of all crackmastastan put the bass rocks away :smile:  dont be surprised if you get flamed in this thread.

a sporeprint has 100s of 1000s of spores on it, maybe more.  generally you would make syringes from your prints and use 1 10cc syringe for 12 1/2 pint jars.  you can get about 6 syringes or so from a quarter size print, maybe more, pple are different in this matter.  i would make about 6 from a print of that size.

Well, I would say the correct answer is infinite numberof cakes or shrooms. As far as making syringes from the print, I believe this takes some skill to keep it clean in the tranfer of spores from fruit to paper(or sterile water in glass jar) to syringes.
If you dab some spore on a petri dish, you can isolate the best strain (sector) and make a spawn jar. From there you continually transfer the one strongest jar of mycelium to 4 new jars. This can go on forever. Of course, occasionally you start fresh from a print again.
It doesnt matter how prettythe print is really. As long as it is clean. If youve alreadyhandled it and it isnt that clean, you might want to streak the spores on a dish. g'luck.
