im not yet at that stage, my first cakes are still colonizing(seems to be taking FOREVER) but many people use a dunking tek or inject some nutrient filled water between flushes to keep the cakes moist and producing bigger fruits. i think a syringe full of water per 1/2 pint cake(so maybe two syringes for you) between flushes would work good. do a search on dunking and see what the experts have to say. also you may want to search hippie's voodoo tek(if im not mistaken) where he dunks cakes in skim milk for some added nutrients. when dunking most peeps seem to stick em in the fridge covered overnight to re-moisturize cakes. but all of this info is coming from a newbie who hasent even grown anything yet, so take what i said for what its worth.

you need to explain yourself hippy
are the cakes still in the jar colonizing or are they sitting in your terrarium. i wouldnt suggest adding water if theyre still incubating; but if theyre drying out 's all you can do is add 5-10cc of BOILED; COOLED; and STERILE water. if theyre cakes all ready to flush use same boiled and cooled water and also use 5-10cc

yeah its called osmosis. check it out.
when something moist is placed in a dry environment there is excess of one substance (water) in one place and a relative lack in another. so teh moisture naturally balances itself out.
osmosis is teh base of our eco-system and the reason we have rain and clouds and all that good stuff.
make sure your incubator is sealed or closed off if youre having problems with jars drying out; make sure the foil is on the lids tight.
