Boy, do I feel stupid.

Here's what comes in a Homestead EZ Grow Kit:
One bag with rye berries and a cotton spore thing inside, a bag with compost, and tupperware.

$108.00 including shipping.
'nuff said...

It's really too bad I didn't find the Shroomery before I though of mushroom growing.

hahahaha! i made the same mistake, and bought a homestead kit. i wouldnt be surprised if the spores never germinate. you could have gotten twice as many mushies by using the PFtek or even getting your own suplies. for 110 bucks you could get a gang of jars and BRF, vermiculite etc.

we learn from our mistakes

don't feel stupid, when i was in amsterdamn, i bought a grow kit taht contained, a small bag of berries, a spore spreader, 1/8 th a spore print a pertie dish, and some agar.

It was 200gil ($85) i felt so dumb,

Yep...and to think people complain about our DB Kit being expensive.  $108 VS $160

That kit only gives you 3 lbs of compost to top it off.  Our kits gives you 5X more compost, more grain, and a quality growing
chamber that can be used over and over.
Live and learn....at least that paticular kit does have good compost :smile:
You will still get some decent little flushes.

I used it first time I grew,only half my bag turned white,my fault though. I still got an ounce and a half(I hated to spend that much, but since shrooms go for about 40-50 a quarter here I feel I got more that I would have if I bought them from dealers, plus it's dry here very dry on mush and LSD)but now I know how to use the ez formula to grow shrooms(I feel I gained some growing experience and sterility experience from the kit)I still feel it's a rip off, but it does work I should have posted some pics, but I did not think about it. I've responded to alot of posts about this topic and posted where to get the same supplies as in the kit --Bluethumbs for rye, numerous spore vendors here, poo from bluethumbs or dung bros or you can get sterilized poo from farmers co-op just make sure it's sterelized,rubbermade container from wal mart or k mart or such stores.this will cost you alot less and you will get more.
