expanding my musical horizons, down tempo, trip hop?

i heard some "down tempo, trip hop" stuff at the last gathering. i kinda liked some of it. reccomend me some artists to check out. i know nothing about this musical genre at all.

Edan - OMFG! his newer CD 'Beauty And The Beat' is pretty good for "triphop" and if you like mc stuff and really technical beats and lyrics, his older CD's architecture and primitive plus are good. he also does alot of good appearances with people like Insight and Mr. Lif.
