Creating Your Own Electronic Music !

Does anyone else do this, I have just started and love doing it. I am using fruity loops for now, and I am going to try and figure out how to use other more complex programs. And by chance does anyone know where I can get hardhouse samples, or how I can make my own?

I make electronic...
I'm using a program called 'buzz'. It's free and it doesn't have a sexy interface, but once you really learn how to use it, it is more powerfull than most everything else out there. you can check it out at http://www.buzzmachines.com.
Hardhouse samples....hmmmm... you could try samplecity.net. I like making my own sounds anymore because a lot of the samples online are not that great, unless you are looking for breaks.... tons of those out there. Buzz would be great for hardhouse though

thanks dude! Actually I happened to run into samplecity.net, and it is the best message board I have found for this sort of stuff. I have downloaded some samples already, I am going to start learning about synthesizers now.

I produce Psy-Trance for parties and for cd release. A good program would be Reason, has midi inuts as well so you can input all your functionality from Cubase.
Also not difficult to use but it really is the shit.

I have heard reason is awsome, I have been trying to download it, but havnt had much luck. I use Mix Meister Pro to make mixes, and It is really easy to use.
Good luck, and hope you make some phatt songs, like some Euro-Trance, something DJ Tiesto would be spinning!

i just started producing in the last few years, mostly abstract hiphop, DnB, Raggea Jungle, Mellow Jungle, Dark Jungle, a little house.... above all else, id recomend a program called Reason. Its expensive as fuck (if you buy it ) but its worth it, you can do so much with it, its amazing.... Also check out Plasma:Cakewalk, Acid 3.0, Sound Forge..... Acid 3.0 with Sound Forge is an amazing softwear mix, you can have alought of fun with just these two programs.
I wanna get some hardware...anyone have any comments on what to get? or some good articles on hardware, i dont know a thing about it..... any help would be appreciated.

I'm sorry that you find software inferior...unfortunatly for you computers happen to be the sequencers in the world... ease of use and storage space.
I bet you 1mil that every modern recording studio has a computer....
1 inch tape had it's day but it's over. Same with cumbersome hardware.

Reason's synths do not sound near as well as, say, a Roland JP-8000,
but it is certainly not garbage...
i slave Reason to a Roland MC-303's fabulous nodules, and tweak away...
One can Create sounds and signal paths with this pragram,
that would be Impossible to achive with Hardware...
so each has it's place, dig?
The whole analog/digital thing is a buzzkill.
Analog IS Digital!
And with the 64-bit/256 Khz audio converters due out in 2003, Digital will practically be Analog.
These cats that come into the studio, saying, "we are ONLY going to record to TAPE." are missing out on the design possiblities of digitally recorded audio...
but,
what is in my opinion,
the most Fantastic display of electronic sound design,
an artistic work that changed how i understand music and myself,
was Created without the benefit of a computer...
When i play this for the Sober, they say "hmmn. it's really happy, fruity, etc..."
When i play this for the heavily Tripping they say, "Oh My GOD! who is this? this is GENIUS! is this me?"
So the rule is:
DO NOT LISTEN TO FFTT UNLESS YOU ARE WEARING HEADPHONES & PEAKING!!!
